This was commmissioned by the incomparable Merytneith, for whose
excellent "Means of Persuasion" fanfic she wanted an image. While she
ultimately left it up to me which moment I wanted to draw, her original
idea of using this particular scene seemed the most appropriate for the
story as a whole.
I'm torn between explaining the picture versus making you go read the
story ( http://www.lexicon.tf/view_library.php?lib_id=3528 ). So I'll
just sum it up by saying that all those guns were pointed at Prowl, and
that Bluestreak is coming to his defense. There's reasons and backstory
and emotional blah blah blah THAT'S ALL VERY COOL AND YOU SHOULD READ
IT, but I won't spoil it for anyone who wants to find out on their own.
Quite seriously, it was a genuine honor to get the commission and work
within such an outstanding fanfic world. If this pic gets anyone to
read her stuff who otherwise wouldn't have, then I'll consider my job
well done.
- Jackpot (who would also be satisfied if the pic made a damn bit
of sense to anybody who hadn't read the story, but that's secondary to
hailing Mery.)
