Possibly OT: Lego LOTR

Apologies if this is OT but I cannot find a group for Lego games.
I recently bought Lego Lord of the Rings pc game.
I installed but when I try to run the game SecuROM gives a dialog
stating
Wrong disc inserted.
Please insert the original "LEGO LOTR" CD/DVD.

The game is on a single DVD, original disk, not a backup.
I have of course been in contact with SecuROM and followed their
advice. Makes no difference.
They suggested using their diagnostis tool which I did, but they then
reply that the tool produced an incomplete log file, so no farther
forward there.
In the end, to try and run my legitimate purchased game I tried to
find a NoCD crack, but everyone I have found so far was full of
malware.
Has anyone experienced this problem with Lego games 'protected' by
SecuROM?
If so, did you manage to get round it?
Failing this, has anyone found a NoCD crack for the game that does not
contain malware ?
