While I am in the Facebook 'Sandbox', I still only come here sad as it
is these days. I do miss the hey day of the box with news and
findings and general excitement. I just don't have the time to enjoy
much in the way of my action figures. I do need to unload a garage
full but I don't even have time for that.

Hope you find some more Joes around.

I'm sure plenty of us are still here, but to be truthful, my collecting
fervor died out when new Joes stopped being made, and I'm not terribly
interested in the new few, because I'm an AT guy.

The club is where the action's been for AT collectors, though prices are
high and frequency of product is low, I'm there.

The Spy Island convention set was a hit out of the park, hell, a hit out of
the planet, and I was actually able to attend that con, so I got the set. I
find the other sets too expensive, but I can understand the need for the
price. Perhaps wehn I have extra cash, I'll pick some of them up
retroactively.

The club free figure and the extra accessory sets have been keeping me
going. And this year their AT Villain seems to be another hit out of the
park. The accessory set alone will probably sell beyond their expectation
because it's not TERRIBLY expensive, and lookse frikkin' awesome, and I can
picture people decking out full AT troupes in it.

Sean.

Some are on the left. Some are on the right. Some are under the bed.
Some are in the closet.

Just talkin' 'bout Joes.

I still check here once in a while, but the bulk of the significant
discussion of 12" Joes has moved to the Trenches, so I spend my time
there.

Still here. I check in now and then. Good ol' Sandbox! The quickest,
simplest place to talk Joe. Plain. Simple. Easy.
GO JOE!

Tanker, I typed in "sandbox" at Facebook and get tons of listings, but
not yours. Any more suggestions on how to find it?

And how about a report on how it's been working out? Is it going to
successfully replace THIS original location of the Sandbox? Or...?

Thanks!

" successfully replace" ? Let's hope not.

<shakes head >
<mutters> Why would anyone say replacing this Sandbox is a success?

Replacing this Sandbox was never an option BUT there are people that
can no longer access this or can no longer get news groups. I have a
Facebook account and noticed that many of the working regulars of this
Sandbox also had a Facebook account so I opened a version on FB. With
over 100 ACTIVE members (about 8 here) conversation is regular. Lets
face it, USENET use is dropping and many ISP no longer carry
groups...sure we can use Google but the fact is news groups are slowly
dying off.

If you want anonimity, you could always set up an alter-ego facebook
page. heck, my Walmart Land Adventurer has his own Facebook page! (I
had him on set when I was working on a film about 2 years ago, and a
lot of the cast and crew friended him!

Joe Setadventurer is his FB 'name'.
