Hey.....this is strange. Tiger site now says that for the debut of the new
colors at FAO Schwarts, there will be a Snow Leopard & an Owl color. What
happened to the Wolf & Zebra? What do the 2 new ones look like???

If you check out the Tiger site's pictures of the new colors, a
right mouse click (at least in Netscape) over each Furby will
reveal a menu that includes a "View Image" option, with the
image's name beside it. The image names are the coat patterns,
giraffe, wolf, dalmation, tiger, bear, and zebra. No mention of
snow leopard and owl though. I could see maybe wolf being turned
into owl, but no way zebra into snow leopard... easily white
tiger, but not snow leopard. Either there will be 8 new
colours, or 2 have gotten a name change or the boot.

I have seen some call the Dalmatian a Snow Leopard. White with spots, right?

And the Wolf has been called everything grey under the sun.....from minx, bear,
fox to owl.

**MEDIA ALERT**

NEW FURBY FAMILY ARRIVES AT

FAO SCHWARZ: RETIREMENT PARTY FOR ORIGINAL FURBY COLORS

Original Furby color collection retires to make way for new Furby fur patterns

WHAT: Be the first to see the new Furby fur collection!

Furby, the cuddly, animatronic pet is dressed for success in 1999! Tiger
Electronics will be introducing 6 new fur patterns for Furby: Giraffe, Owl,
Snow Leopard, Dalmatian, Bear, and of course, Tiger! Kids of all ages will be
able to add to their Furby collections with these exciting new fur patterns.
Each of these patterns has all the great play of the original Furby, but with
the addition of an exciting new feature: a "deep sleep" mode where kids can put
their Furby to sleep quickly and he won’t wake up until turned fully upside
down. The approximate retail price is $30. New York will be the first city to
receive the new Furbys. A retirement party for the original six fur patterns
for Furby will make sure that the original Furby steps down in style.

WHEN: Friday, March 12, 1999

9:00 am

WHERE: FAO SCHWARZ

Fifth Avenue & 58th Street

New York, NY

WHO: Chris Byrne, Toy Industry Expert, David Niggli, Executive Vice President
of Merchandising FAO Schwarz and Roger Shiffman, President of Tiger Electronics
will be available to comment on the retirement of the original Furby and the
new fur patterns for Furby in 1999.

VISUALS: Children waiting to see the new fur patterns for Furby in the
exclusive Furby Shop at FAO. Original and new Furby costumes. BRINKS armored
truck to deliver the new Furbys. Retirement party for the original Furby fur
patterns. New Furby samples will be available for the media.

Sorry so long! I copied this from the furby.com site....there's supposed to be
6 new colors....here they mention, Dalmation, Snow Leopard, Owl, Bear, and
Tiger----so they're saying that the dalmation and the snow leopard AREN'T the
same one......where's the zebra (maybe that's the snow leopard?) and the wolf
(could be the owl?) then if you go to toysclub.com, they have the names of
them that you can specifically order which ever one you want.....and they say
zebra and wolf.....little confusing??? just thought i'd share this with ya
all...
