Trolling Now Illegal

President Bush signed a law on Thursday which makes being an anonymous
annoyance on the Internet illegal. The bill is called the Violence
Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act. The law
was intended to prevent Internet stalking.

The original version approved in September made causing someone
"substantial emotional harm" illegal. The new wording just requires
that you "annoy" someone without disclosing your identity. The
penalties are a fine and up to 2 years in prison.

The use of the term "annoy" has many people concerned. An ACLU lawyer
said "What's annoying to one person may not be annoying to someone
else." The provision was included in a must-pass Justice Department
funding bill by Sen Arlen Specter (R-PA).

Please note:
Arlen Specter is an Old, Heavy-Duty, Hard-Core Zionist.
He was involved in the JFK murder conspiracy cover-up
as well as the Waco massacre cover-up.

Excerpts from "`JFK' puts a new blot on image of Specter" by Katharine
Seelye (Knight-Ridder News Service):

Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., already running for re-election during a
recession, suddenly finds himself with another load of unwanted
baggage--
courtesy of Hollywood.

Back in 1964, Specter was an investigator for the Warren Commission and
posited the single-bullet theory...

In a freak accident of bad timing for Specter, the movie "JFK" now
resurrects the single-bullet theory and portrays it as utterly prepos-
terous...

With it comes Specter's name--and the derisive hoots of moviegoers
across
the country...

For Specter, the three-hour...movie boils down to the ultimate
three-second
negative political spot.

In the movie,...Kevin Costner, playing...Jim Garrison, calls Specter
"an
ambitious junior counselor" and brands his theory "one of the grossest
lies
ever forced on the American people." At the mention of Specter's name,
some
members of some audiences in Philadelphia and elsewhere hoot, cheer and
applaud in apparent agreement with the disparaging reference.

Asked if he intended to sue for libel, Specter said: "No comment."

Indeed. Besides, I'm not so cowardly that I need to anonymise my

Absolutely. So long as that freedom doesn't extend to showing
"Brokenback Mountain" in a cinema run by a moron ^h^h Mormon cinema
manager.

"Land of the free" my arse.

Alas, mine too...does this mean I have to back off Jacobs? My God, the
stupid shit they think up! What the hell IS usenet without a good Flame
party now and then?

ACLU should be all over this within a matter of seconds.

This new law doesn't apply to me because I'm not anonymous either.

The pHeds didn't have any trouble finding me when they wanted me.

In March of this year I sent you over 60 complaints about this user.
Thank you for your cooperation, for up until now your user has been
mostly behaving himself. But now he has AGAIN started trolling the
alt.drugs.pot.cultivation news group. See my email dated 3/3/02 with
subject "Your subscriber is still harassing our news group" for
details surrounding his abuse of your Acceptable Use Policy (though I
can find it locally if you don't have it on record and really need it.)

Please take action to prevent your subscriber from abusing usenet,
particularly the alt.drugs.pot.cultivation news group. His most recent

==========Exit spook archive======================

Lucky for me, the pHeds didn't want to put me in jail.

They just wanted me to shut-up.

If the truth be known, if I disrupted a drug newsgroup, I should have
gotten a commendation, not kicked off the internet because of *one*
"anonymous" complainer:

From: "F U D Buster" <FUDbus...@nyn.alias.net>

(F U D stands for fear, uncertainty, and doubt.)

http://www.answers.com/uncertainty&r=67
Uncertainty, doubt, dubiety, skepticism, suspicion, mistrust. These
nouns refer to the condition of being unsure about someone or
something. Uncertainty, the least forceful, merely denotes a lack of
assurance or conviction: I regarded my decision with growing
uncertainty. Doubt and dubiety imply a questioning state of mind:
"Doubt is part of all religion" (Isaac Bashevis Singer). On this
point there can be no dubiety. Skepticism generally suggests an
instinctive or habitual tendency to question and demand proof: "A
wise skepticism is the first attribute of a good critic" (James
Russell Lowell). Suspicion is doubt as to the innocence, truth,
integrity, honesty, or soundness of someone or something: His
furtiveness aroused my suspicions. Mistrust denotes lack of trust or
confidence, as in a person's motives, arising from suspicion: The staff
viewed the consultant's hasty recommendations with mistrust.

btw -- sorry; LOL.)

Gee....if I was Mr. Specter, that above quote would "annoy" me. Maybe
he oughta sue somebody. ;)
