(Kenmore, NY, September 16, 2004) - - Joyce Villareale, Home Owner
said "he was sitting on the computer and I was watching tv and we were
just sitting around and it just came right through the front window
right behind the fern."
Joyce Villareale showed us what happened to her family's front window
after a shotgun blast came whizzing by. Just inches from her husband.
Robert Villareale, Home Owner said "well I heard the blast and glass
was flying and I hit the floor." Robert Villareale also said "I'm
still a little shaken by this to say the least." Police answered the
call to this Kenmore home on Victoria Boulevard shortly after 9 pm last
night. Captain Charles Jasinski, Kenmore Police said "and found that
somebody had fired a shotgun at the front windows. Some of the windows
were broken and there were some bb marks from the pellets on the
aluminum outside the window."
Though they didn't see the culprits. The Villareale's believe this
shooting is a result of a fight their teenage son had a few days ago.
Kevin Villareale, Couple's Son said "I had problems with him back in
high school you know. He was saying stuff to my little brother about me
and just one day we saw each other and it just kinda happened, you
know." Joyce Villareale, Mother said "a couple of kids came over this
way and came after my son and started a fight with him and they thought
it was all over because it did end fairly quickly. And obviously it
wasn't over."
Police can't say for sure if this is a case of retaliation. But that's
an avenue they're looking into today. Captain Charles Jasinski, Kenmore
Police states "we'll check with the Juvenile Officers. We'll certainly
track down any leads that will have come from a previous fight if the
family said they had one. We'll talk to the students at school. We
usually get to the bottom of these things here in Kenmore."
