this is bullshit. there are plenty of self-hating queers out there,
and most of them don't want to chop off their weenie (actually, they
don't chop it off, they peel it like a banana and turn it inside-out,
but there you are). there are plenty of self-hating straights out
there, too. most of the successful sex-changes (i'll bag the
annoying 'gender reassignment') are people who actually have a
female identity but a male body.
the unsuccessful cases generally ignored a psychiatrist's advice.
in the cases where someone actually did end up in the wrong
sex, let them do it. it's the most effective 'cure' for
gender dysphoria that's come up yet.
