A Palestinian boy was standing in a refugee camp looking at an Israeli
soldier and Satan, invisible, came up behind the boy and whispered into his
ear how unfair it was that he should have to live his whole life without
Hope. So, the boy threw a rock at the soldier and, somehow, with Satan
standing behind him, he looked like a threat to the soldier, so the soldier
shot him dead.
Then during the boy's funeral, Satan, invisible again, came up behind the
boy's father and whispered into his ear that he could not live with this
kind of Injustice. So, the father decided to blow himself, and a bus load
of Israelis, up.
Then during the funeral of the victims Satan came up behind the Israeli
Prime Minister, who was there to show support, and whispered into his ear
that his people could not live with such Terror. So, the Prime Minister
decided to launch a military attack on the refugee camp to stop future
attacks.
Then, while Osama bin Laden was watching the massacre in the refugee camp on
TV, Satan came up behind him and whispered into his ear that the U.S. and
its allies were Defiling the Holy Lands of Islam and persecuting Muslims
everywhere and, if he was truly a Man of God, he would do something about
it. So, deciding that it would be unwise to confront the U.S. directly, he
decided to start training and funding terrorists to attack the U.S.
Then, while they were training at one of Osama's terrorist camps, Satan came
up behind a group of devout young men and, moving quickly from one to the
next, whispered into their ears, telling them that they would be rewarded by
God if they Died Killing God's Enemies. So, they crashed some planes into
some buildings killing thousands of people.
Then while the President of the United States was watching with horror as
the terrible events unfolded on the TV, Satan came up behind him and
whispered into his ear that as The Leader of the world's last remaining
Superpower it was his responsibility to do God's Work and kill all
evildoers, everywhere, to stop the Terror. So, the President unleashed the
most lethal military machine the Earth had ever seen to seek out and kill
men and women all over the world in order to Restore Peace and Security to
The Land.
Then, I woke up. What do you think it means?

Horned creatures coming up behind people in dreams represent
suppressed trauma about being raped anally. The fact that it
happened no less than 24 times in your dream, and each time to
a male, tells me that this supressed trauma has manifested
itself strongly in your sexual preferences, which tend toward
homosexual relationships in which you are submissive. I'm
guessing that you frequently find yourself in relationships
with abusive men, and/or emotionally unavailable men. The fact
that the horned creature was a powerful, mythical creature
indicates that the rape trauma you suppress happened when you
were very young, and was perperated by a powerful male authority
figure, probably your father or grandfather.
Hope this is helpful, sincerely - Pancho

Satan is a very naughty boy :)
I don't believe in Satan though, I think it's too simplistic to abstract
evil out of people and then make that abstraction sentient and pretend its
afflicting you out of malice. It's a way of evading responsibility for our
own actions. The way I see it everyone is capable of absolute good or
absolute evil. Why do you need supernatural agencies when you have the
human mind - as Joseph Conrad said in Heart of Darkness, the mind is
capable of anything because everything is in it. Tabloids like to call
serial killers 'monsters' or whatever but IMO that's just done to establish
a comfort zone, to pretend there's a distance between people like that and
us when in fact no such distance exists.

Funnily enough this type of thing turned up last year amongst all the
Wingdings and numerology messages, so to explain.
Men firing guns - phallic, the Twin Towers represent a pair of upright legs,
and in amongst all this is Satan, aka the Horned Beast!
I suggest a change of diet to include some more adult channels and girlie
magazines and to watch less news broadcasts, then wet dreams may become less
surreal and a tad more exciting.

I didn't realize that the United States had the "most lethal military"
machines the Earth had EVER seen. Wow. That's impressive.
It makes me wonder though.... The US seems to be damned no matter what we
do. We seem to piss off everybody in some way or another. What would
happen if the US just stopped, and I mean everything. Pulled out of the
Middle East entirely, our troops, money...everything. Stopped giving Egypt
about 3 million dollars a year. Stopped giving the Israelis and the
Palestinians money as well. Stopped supporting (in every way possible from
money to "moral" support) dictatorial regimes and democracies everywhere
around the world. Pulled out every military base in Germany and any other
place in Europe as well as Turkey. Shut down the no-fly zone in Iraq.
Pulled out every dime and man from Afghanistan. Stopped sending aid to
Africa and pulled out entirely from Bosnia and that whole area. Pulled our
troops and aid from Korea and Taiwan. While we are at it, since we get shit
on when we educate people in our universities and trade schools to
eventually turn that knowledge back on us, why not bar all foreign students
and green card seekers from our shores. When we do tighten up our security
by actually doing background checks on the people who come here, we are
called racist.
I am tired of my money going to Egypt where most of them would prefer to see
me dead, ditto for the Palestinians. I am tired of my money going to the
Israelis who abuse and oppress the Palestinians and whose human rights
record is atrocious at best. I am tired of my hard earned tax dollars going
to a soldier stationed in Germany (an incredibly stupid place to be now that
Russia isn't the "big bad wolf" anymore), a country that has recently hopped
on the "hate America" bandwagon. I am tired of meeting greencard-carrying
foreigners over here who absolutely hate this country and relish telling you
this fact, but stay here because they just love the freedom we provide them
here. If you hate it here, fucking leave!
I agree with many who think that America has become this big policeman in
the world. I figure, let Iraq alone. Let the Middle East alone. Let it
implode on its own. Maybe then the people in the part of the world will
work toward their own freedom. Oh wait, if we do that then we are racist
again and so uncharitable...so opulent with all of our money and doing
nothing responsible with it.
Sorry for the rant, but you know what...I am tired of it all. It would be
nice for someone else to take over as the "only superpower" and get all the
shit for awhile. I for one would be quite happy to give the "crown" to
someone else.
America its leadership and Americans are not perfect. But no country or
people are. I am sure that Britain got the same shit when it was "cock of
the walk" around the world. The only difference is that the press was not
nearly as ubiquitous then as it is now and mass instantaneous communication
didn't exist. Regardless, if you do not want us to take care of something,
fine. Do it yourselves.

Democracy paints us all with the same brush, by our own rules. Government of the
people by the people: Ergo the government is our official representative and
carries out our wishes. So any act our governments carry out are, de facto, our
wishes. (even when they're not) to those they affect. Which makes us all guilty
and renders none innocent. We have no dictator to hide behind.
America has few friends and many enemies. If America sticks to the rules it
helped draw up it can reverse that. But if it continues to play the wise-guy, it
will fall.
It would also help a lot if Americans would learn more about the planet the live
on and the peoples they live with.
Your administration should focus on real threats, not just imagine them, if it
wants any credibility. And you, the people, should question what they tell you.
I can't recall personally, or even historically, a time where any nation has
been in the position of being despised, hated or feared by everyone else on the
planet. And Bush has done this for you in a mere two years.
Americans have done themselves a disservice by being wilfully ignorant and
parochial. Bush has woken up the world to the danger of America, you guys must
also wake up.
Says you!

One assumption all of you fucking apologists make is that we don't know
anything about the planet we live on or the people who live on it. We
didn't get in the position we are currently in by not knowing these things.
Quit making assumptions you can't defend, and know even less about.

individual, and they all told you that this is the case, right?

If you think we are dangerous now, wait for our reaction to the next
terrorist attack on us. As for being parochial:
1.. Of, relating to, supported by, or located in a parish.
2.. Of or relating to parochial schools.
3.. Narrowly restricted in scope or outlook; provincial: parochial
attitudes.
Exactly which of these definitions do you think applies to the USA? 1)?
Since all Americans are not Catholic, you can cross that one out. 2)?
Again, American is a pluralistic society made up of many ethnic groups and
religions. To suggest definition 2 is to ignore that fact, and is more than
a little bigoted in its intent. Strike 2. 3)? Well, since we have
declared war against terrorism, it is only natural that our focus is narrow,
and restricted. Would you rather that we carpet bomb the entire planet as a
way of ensuring that we get them all? I suggest you wake up and realize the
danger these people present to the entire western world, not only the US.
The fact that bombs have been found recently in the Phillipines, the
Netherlands, and elsewhere indicates that we are not the only targets of
extremists. You apologists out there say that terrorism has been going on
in the world since before 9/11, and question why we weren't more involved in
fighting it before, then critcize us when we finally decide to do something
about it. Which is why we will make the decisions in this matter, because
it is ultimately our boys who have to fight this battle, and you guys are
too unreliable to be counted on when it matters the most. I'm sure that
since you think we have no business fighting this war, and would just as
soon see us fail, you won't mind if we exclude you from the decision-making
process.

What makes me a "fucking apologist" and just what am I supposed to be
apologising for. I'm certainly not aplogising for the blatent ignorance that
most Americans have for all things and all places not American.
It's an absolute fact that most Americans are ignorant of the outside world.
Hell, only 5% of you have passports.

We criticise because you fuck things up for no meaningful result. You are
clueless and it is embarrasing and dangerous to be around you.
Taking on terrorists gained wholesale support. All of us would back that and get
directly involved. So what do you do, you fuck up, lose focus, change objectives
and fail in even the simplest objective. OBL has given Bush the pretext to go
for the Arab oil, so that is what he is doing. I think the last thing Bush would
want to do is squash AQ and actually catch OBL. No, while AQ is around and OBL
runs about then Bush can get on with the real order of the day. OIL, and the
destruction of the US constitution.
If you don't want your decisions criticised then make good decisions.

Jeez! Could it be no one wants to leave...I have been the world over and have
only used my passport occassionally... My government doesn't need passports..
And neither does our military... And we do have at least a million military
cycling in and out of the country at all times...Our Airguard is now in the
Mideast..
other components are in Turkey...I have traveled all of those countries...Now I
saw Afghanistan in the late 40's...From the TV, I have ascertained that it has gone
backward and not worthy of another visit. And for being so backward here in the
US...How cum our defense system can hit any 2 sq meter patch on the planet..
Are we just good guessers? Our true ignorance lies in the fact..that we don't have
a clue why you think the way you do...We have concluded that you are just ignorant!
;-)
Now on the passports...We have millions of bogus one out there...Printed and sold
by most other countries residents... In order to gain entry into the US. Why on
earth
would anyone want to gain entry to this country that bad? ;-)

Parochial?? You idiot...we were attacked at the WTC and a number of other locations
on the
globe by religious Zealots. That makes us very aware of our parochial
background...It was
that parochial background that created the greatest constitution and bill of rights
ever written.
Several other countries wen parochial and emmulated our documents...Switzerland for
one
at the top end and Russia for one at the botttom end. And of course man in
between....
Have you checked the origins of your constitution?

Good Thinking! Pass that on to the Radical Muslims....
Without allies you have a problem. If you travelled about with your military you
may know that. So it makes sense to stick to the rules that you were
instrumental in creating.
Please, don't re-edit and post something as my words when they're not.
On the topic of World-Trade-Center terrorism, here's what I've got:
The Global War On Terrorism (GWOT) didn't start on September 11th. Remember
when Islamic fundamentalists tried to blow the things up the first time?
Where are those guys now?
They are in what we call a "Prison" after what we call a "Trial" based on
what we call "Evidence" collected during what we call an "Investigation"
conducted in accordance with what we call "Laws."
I know it's painful for law enforcement to be constrained by the "Rule of
Law," but it protects what we used to call, "The American Way Of Life."
It's much easier, and more satisfying, to launch a hellfire missle at a car
load of suspects from an unmanned predator drone. Then you can be sure you
hit the guy you were aiming at later from the remaining body parts. Of
course the U.S. can't do that to it's own citizens, yet. That only works
for the whole rest of the world. So, if you hear a buzzing sound above and
behind you...
Anyway, the U.S. has already lost the GWOT because:
First, there will always be terrorism so the "War" is unwinnable (like the
War on Drugs (and no, I'm not going give up on the pipe or the shrooms just
to make the dreams stop!)).
Second, the terrorists have already won by putting a big dent in the
American Way Of Life (there is a U.S. citizen sitting in a U.S. military
prison right now who has not been charged with a crime or been afforded
legal counsel (remember the dirty bomb guy? sure he's a dirtbag but he's
still supposed to be protected by the Constitution. Remember the
Constitution? Privacy, Freedom of Religion, Free Speech, Free Firearms...
that stuff).
Finally, the roots of 'suicide terrorism' are at least being addressed by
the Bush Administration. They've decided they like them and are going to
make them worse!
My take is that people blow themselves, and those around them, up for a few
kinds of reasons. Either they are severly pissed-off about something, they
are depressed and feel there is no hope of a better life in the future, or
culturally they believe it's an important thing to do.
Taking the last one first.. If the Islamic community wants to stop suicide
bombers they need to start trying (having trials?) them in accordance with
Islamic Law. As long as Islamic leadership praises suicide terrorists it
will continue. If somebody can convince them that they won't be reborn to
fight again or sit on the right knee of Mohammad or something they will stop
(of course they will probably keep killing infidels, they just won't die on
purpose in the process).
As for the depressed people, growing up in a refugee camp will do that to
kids. The U.S. is in a very good position to help those kind of people out.
That's the kind of thing that will improve the U.S.'s image, maybe even more
than inspirational TV commercials (who's idea was that anyway?). The 42
million dollars the U.S. gave to the Taliban five months before the
September 11 attack (because they were our allies in the War On Drugs) was a
good idea but it didn't help ameliorate the world's largest refugee crisis,
which was in Afghanistan at the time. The 3.8 Billion dollars the U.S.
spent killing about 6,000 Afghanis (3,000 on purpose and 3,000 accidentally
(numbers only approximate because nobody really cares enough about how many
of them died to sift through the dirt looking for their remains)) would have
gone a long way toward rebuilding their country. Etc...
Lastly, the pissed-off people will always be around. Sorry about that.
However, it's not a bad idea to just double check one's self when somebody
is so pissed that they kill themselves just to try to hurt one. Has one
been less than courteous in one's dealings with one's neighbors? Has one
been supporting an oppressive regiem in one country and arming the rebels in
another? Just something to keep an eye out for...
The problem right now is that, if you're not a U.S. citizen (so far) the
penalty for being a suspect, or standing near a suspect, is death. No
charges, no trial, just BOOM.

I think that works! The person no one will stand by must be a terrorist!! ;-)

Where's the problem? It works for me. Especially in the case you refer,
since they were known terrorists, were survailed for days, were armed to the
hilt, and were definitely not out looking for a Pizza joint. You seem to
forget that ,wether you like it or not, it is still a war, even if it is one
you may think to be a big joke, and doesn't really mean anything. But
that's ok by me. Just go back to your 'shrooms and veg out dude. We'll
take it from here.
