Meade ETX 125 Version 4.4 softwae

When My ETX 125 was returned from Meade after
repairing I noticed that they had upgraded the Handbox
software to v 4.4. I also noticed that I had lost
some capabilities with the upgrade (????). Now I can't
input a zipcode or use my Star GPS to establish a
location. When I called Meade to ask about this they
said that the new software was updated to remove
unnecessary steps and that I should select a nearby
city. However, the fact that the nearby city is
almost 30 miles away didn't seem to impact the
software design staff. When I asked how I could
return to the older V4.3 I was informed that I
couldn't.

Made has taken a rather expensive piece of hardware
and turned it into a toy with their software upgrade
(???). I wonder how much of this was due to the
release of their new model? That would be some real
screwed up marketing. But, seeing the way this
company seems to be going, I am not sure.
