Hello. I am a new owner of a used ETX-90. I would like to put a red dot
finder on it, but am uncertain about the mounting. Does anyone have a red
dot for sale that hooks to the ETX-90 easily??? Thank you all in advance.

I put an Orion Red Dot finder on my ETX-70 and put a Telrad on my 8-inch
Dob. The Telrad is too big for the ETX-90 -- I say "too big," you could
mount a Telrad on the ETX-90 but it's almost as long as the scope.

To read what others say about finderscopes for the ETX scopes, check out the
finderscope section on Mike Weasner's Mighty ETX Site:
http://www.weasner.com/etx/finders.html

I recommend you go with the red dot finder available from Orion or
Scopetronix.

-- The Orion device is called the "EZ Finder" and their website is:
www.telescope.com Look for the finder under accessories.

-- Scopetronix calls theirs the LightSight. Their website is:
http://www.scopetronix.com/ Scroll down the table of contents on the left
to Optical Accessories and click on the link to Finder Scopes & Sights

Hi, I was wondering how you attached the EZ finder on the ETX70: did you
used the Universal mounting or did you order the mounting bracket for
Schmidt-Cassegrain?
Thanks

I stuck it onto the front of the tube using double-sided foam tape.

Check it out here:

I happen to use and like the Rigel Quickfinder on my ETX-90EC.
