Two people are in the hospital after being stabbed at a Waffle House in
Chester, South Carolina.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the Waffle
House on J.A. Cochran Bypass in Chester around 10:34 p.m. on Friday.
At the scene, deputies found two people stabbed; one was sitting on the
sidewalk, and the other was pacing around the parking lot bleeding.

Paramedics took one of the victims to the hospital and they were in
critical condition. The other victim suffered non-life-threatening
injuries and declined medical treatment.
Deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy and charged him with attempted
murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Officials say they will not be releasing the suspect’s name because of
his age.
According to reports from the sheriff’s office, two juvenile witnesses
told deputies they were in the restaurant when the suspect came in and
began an argument.
Deputies say staff got up and broke up the fight, the suspect then left
the restaurant. The witnesses say they were inside when the victims went
outside after the suspect and at least one was stabbed during a physical
fight.
Witnesses told officials the name of the suspect and deputies drove to
his home where they arrested him.
The sheriff’s office has asked the South Carolina Law Enforcement
Division to take the lead on the investigation.
