freeview download failed

Apologies if this is the wrong group for this.
My fv box made by Thomson keeps failing on the latest software download. The
screen flashes a msg saying "new download avail" but when i click ok to d/l
it says "download failed" if i then goto setup to retry it tells me no new
d/l is available.
Its trying to update version 5.0 to 5.3
any ideas?
