Ok...
I work for <company name deleted here>.
Ive moved on from technical support on the phones, to the MIS
department where I do technical support for company employees.

Not much of a change, but a change enough to keep me sane after more
than a few years of tech support.

IM a pretty lax MIS person.
I dont mind certain people putting a cd burner in their company
machine, or plugging their laptop into the network to download things.
I take things pretty well..untill today...

Went down to Cubicle Hell (Technical Support) to install a second
video card in all the machines there.

Machine 1 goes fine.
Machine 2 goes fine.
Machine 3 goes something like this:

Open up Dell Desktop (funky press button case makes this very simple)
Remove case, Look into case..See Muffin...

Start to remove PCI card riser... Hang on......
Muffin?

MUFFIN??

Yup...you guessed it...Theres a Fscking *muffin* inside the desktop.
*Inside*
Not a part of a Muffin, Not a crumb or a few crumbs, but a whole
Muffin, sitting happily on the hardrive soaking up electomagnetic
radiation and heat.

As I said..Im pretty Lax about the machines in the office..But Im
sorry..I have to draw the line here.

For a moment I thought I was getting an uncomfortable flashback...
Any minute that muffin was going to start talking to me..asking me to
upgrade it. That the New Muffin II's were out, with extra Blueberry.

*shakes head*

Some days I just shouldnt come into work...

Trust me, we came up with 101 geek-muffin-jokes when it happened ;)
Theres a bios message that comes up on these Dells when you boot up
that says "warning! Cover was previously removed"

How I sorely wished I couldve changed it to "warning! Cover was
previously removed and muffin inserted"... sit back and see if the
owner of said PC notices anything =)

Hrm...now there's something to consider; Borax in the muffins. The
same muffins which are supplied by the management of <ISP>.

Of course they'd *never* do something like that to the staff ...
right?

Dial-up networking was unable to establish a compatible set of muffins.
Please check your muffin in the computer, and try again.
