We ran in. I grabbed a gun and chambered a round (I keep that particular
gun handy with a 2/3 magazine). I went into our backyard to make sure that
nothing "spilled over" onto my turf. I hopped up on our fence (pretty well
hidden in the shadows), watching the mayhem and trying (in vain!) to
remember license plate numbers (Oh, Kristin was calling the cops as I was
doing this.).
One goup of punks loaded up into a car just as the cops were hitting the
neighborhood. They apparently decided that the car was not going to make
it out of the neighborhood (only two ways in and it was clear from the
sound of the sirens the cops were approaching simultaneously from both.)
and jumped back out of the car to disperse by foot.
One of them ran my direction, obviously intent on hopping the fence into
my back yard. Just as I was raising the gun(*) he looked up and saw me.
I never saw somebody change directions so fast in my life.
Cops got three of 'em...one hiding in the bushes of my front yard...but
my hero made his getaway :(.
(*) Not wanting to shoot (for legal reasons), but suddenly finding myself
between a rock and a wierdo...which fortunately *can* be legal justification.

I too once had a close encounter with the ultimate fantasy. We were sleeping and
I heard somebody banging on our window air conditioner, window frame, etc.
Certain someone was trying to gain entry I slipped out with my worked .45,
complete with Glazier Safety Slugs, and crept around the building. There I found
a guy totally drunk, throwing stones at the window upstairs trying to wake his
jilted lover. Seems he was hanging on to the AC for balance.
I have never before pointed a loaded weapon at someone and it was an extremely
high adrenalin moment. I mean - I had this dude lined up - magazine in, round
chambered, hammer back, grips squeezed. It was just me and my index finger
keeping this loser from exiting the continuum.
He just about dies when he saw me. I grabbed his sorry ass and gave him shit for
scaring the hell out of me and reminding him how close he came to dying. For
christ sake, what if in a drunken stupor he'd a lunged at me? I would have offed
him in a New York minute.
Yipes.
Remember, shoot twice - you are shooting to kill and if so make sure it happens.

Not so - there is justified use of the weapon. Type of injury is irrelevant. You
are either found to be justified in the use of the weapon or not. If not, then
appropriate charges are filed; assault, etc. But I don't think there is a DA
around that would charge someone for killing in this situation but if the person
survived not charge anything at all.
The point is, then, that if ennobled with the right to injure or kill, go for
the kill and do it properly. A second shot after standing over the keeled over
thug is going to be very hard to defend. Always two shots - pop pop.

I heard a loud crash in a nearby area, followed by the unmistakable
sound of retards thrashing through the undergrowth in the dark, laughing like
hyenas.
I went to the back porch area, there were no lights on. Zero illumination.
About three doors up, I heard, "Goddamnit, look at what you've done! You
bastards!", and assorted other ravings.
Then I heard a giggle, startlingly close. A minimum of three, juvenile
pranking retards were hiding in bushes on *my* property. The rant
against them continued from up the street, something really big must
have been broken. They snuffled and laughed, twenty feet from my house.
Now I pulled my share of pranks in high school and early college. Some
were *really* bad. But thrashing through underbrush? Stopping and
laughing so loudly you wake people up with it? That was just bad form,
and very irresponsible.
So I got the Benelli*. I emptied the one I keep in the pipe. Silently I
returned to the open rear door, and, in cover behind the frame, said
conversationally, just loud enough to get to where the retards were
hiding:
"Say, can any of you identify this sound?"
Then I racked the shotgun real loud and slow.
All breathing sounds stopped. Not a leaf rustled. For a long time. Maybe
five minutes. Then all three launched themselves out of there
impressively fast.
There was probably a piss-track a mile long.

*H&K/Benelli Super 90, 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun. Fastest cycling shotgun
in the world, can empty as fast as trigger is pulled. Holds 7 + 1, and
if you know the trick, an extra one under the chamber. No choke, designed
for heavy and slug loads. A 'Combat Shotgun' ie, for killing primarily
humans. Matte black finish. Should be one in every home.
[double tapping versus threat neutralization fight uh, double-tapped]
I feel double tapping is a technique to train you to *continue*
shooting, not just go *bang*, Holy shit, did I get 'im?
IPSC (practical shooting competition) specifies that you double
tap each target to prove you are in control of your weapon!
And as to threat neutralization, that is a euphemism professionals
use to mean "Shoot them until the gun is empty." which is what
the police do...you just don't hesitate between shots or wander
around to get a better shot at a downed opponent's skull.
Net meaning of BOTH double-tapping and threat neutralization?
When your life is threatened, you shoot until you *know* the goblin
represents no more threat. And that only happens when he is as
dead as you can get him.
ALSO:
A threat can be a naked guy running from your 12-gauge jumping over
your fence after shitting in your birdbath: Why? because he *might*
have a gun stashed over there with his clothes. Can you reasonably say
there was a threat? Yup. Private citizens have *much* more rights
re: protecting their own than even police.
But it will cost you big $$$ to save your ass in court if you are
charged, and later when the civil cases are levelled at you.
ObT: Changed a diaper today. Unfolded a wondrous sight in the middle

That was the whole point of getting the two off back-to-back. As I said, and as
you further highlighted in your post, any additional shots better be under the
"self-defense" aegis and not well after the fact with an incapacitated reject
thrashing about.

Hmmm, I thought I was pretty clear on my scenario but I guess not:
I was referring to two shots quickly in succession, essentially a single shot
fired twice. Threatened - squeeze off two and then assess.
Obviously once the threat is removed or if the threat has been reduced to the
point that fear of life is no longer a factor, a follow-up is indeed asking for
trouble.

So here is some advice from someone who has to deal with this shit
every day of his life: Forget about guns. Spray them with pepper gas
whenever possible, tie the piece of shit up, and suffocate him with a
plastic bag. Silent, clean, no evidence, and no problems afterwards.

Of course, going straight for the head is always an option but more
difficult due to aforementioned size difference. Still, a proper head-shot
is about guaranteed to drop the opponent despite whatever drugs
he may have taken. With proper head-shot it is also about guaranteed
that the target is dead before he hits the floor.
Also, one should remember that sometimes, if the opponent is
ornery/drugged/whatever enough, he can function for tens of seconds
despite the fact that his heart is blown to bits or some other equivalent
lethal injury has been inflicted and the objective fact is that he's
a walking dead but just doesn't know it yet. In these cases, a gross
disruption of central nervous system is about the only option for
immediate stop.

Shit, if only the "old" cops knew about this group!! Plenty of good
ideas floating around here for hours of relaxing fun with some
political prisoner.
Any way, to answer your question: Never knew if it froze, it did burn
the hell out of him going in. I presume it did the freezing bit once
inside. Took some efford to get the gloved finger out of his arse
whyle leaving ice there, too. By that time, he wasn't around anymore.
Now, had your "dip the rose..." idea surfaced in the old days, I could
just imagine the new twists that would have been added to the list of
"good fun things to do".
Example recipe:
Take 1 political prisoner (Serb/Commie/Whatever)
Add equal amount of wet & horny whore
Mix until prisoner gets nice and "stiff"
Now take prisoner and dip stiff choad into liquid nitrogen
Snap finger "snotball shooting style" on front of choad
*******SNAP***** *****CLANK****** *****CRASH******
Repeat with other limbs until only the head remains or prisoner stops
screaming.
Hell, I might even keep this recipe for later use myself....

Been thinking about moving abroad as well. Getting fed up with allways
having a gun around, with extra magazine (coons work in gangs - just
like baboons), alarm in house, with burglar bars, vicous killer dogs,
pepper spray, security gates, removable cd-player in car, gear-lock,

And I still don't feel safe.
But then again, I'd rather hang around and get to witness all the
scenes of poverty, terror, canabalism, mutalation, genocide,
gang-rape, starvation, outbreaks of Ebola, and quickie-executions when
the civil war eventually breaks out. And it will - it's just a matter

I agree. I have to, U. of Chicago has come up with a couple of
lovely studies that demonstrate:
1) crime rates drop in US areas with concealed carry
2) the only legal factor that affects the severity of multiple
shooting incidents is... [drum roll] concealed carry for the
obvious reasons.

Here in Montco, PA, it is available to just about all with the usual criminal
past restrictions. Funny, but I never followed through on my application. I have
the sign off from the local Chief, just never sent the remainder in. Maybe I'm
worried about my past juvenile history but that supposedly isn't a factor. Maybe
I know I'll have to buy another gun as my .45 is just too big to carry about on

ObT: Something about women and airplanes and vomit. I had my second
puking-woman-on-an airplane experience (posted earlier the other one). This
time, we were sitting in DTW , on the plane, with a maintenance delay. Being in
first class (always) I got to witness some lady being helped off the plane by
two F/A's, only to reach the jetway and let loose with a GGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKK.
This continued, almost unabated, for a solid fifteen minutes. Solid puking -
loud as puking can be. They called the paramedics. The F/A's broke out the med
kit and latex gloves. It must have been a glub awful mess.
Plane fixed, door closed, can't go anywhere. The parameds, still tending to the
puking woman, had, of all places, parked their crash cart *right behind the
goddamned airplane*. Had to wait another 30 minutes for them to move it. I hate

Hang on here. I ain't no farmhand, but there was always the obligatory

PLEASE! When I recall my days of digging for diamonds in Mr. Grogans
and Sean McCaffee's AT Archives, I always enjoyed the professional ones
(i.e.. Zeno's Army Tales, Tae's Ambulance Stories, etc.) I've wet my
pants in anticipation...
ObTorture: My favorite method from movies and TV involved tying the
person with wire to a metal bedframe, dousing them with saltwater, then
hooking them up to a hand-cranked generator.
The fun part is that they didn't receive any current until the switch
from the battery was thrown. Since it takes a bit of effort to juice up
a battery with a hand-cranked generator, the torturee gets to watch the
sweating torturer spin the handle *GrrGrrGrrGrr* until the torturer
feels that a sufficient jolt has been prepared, then BZZZZZZT!
I forget where I saw this, I think it was a Japanese POW camp (which
would make this the MILDEST torture available). After the first few
jolts, there is lotsa and LOTS of time for begging, pleading, screaming,
etc. as the torturer merrily spins the generator handle for longer and
longer periods... as anyone who's been electrocuted or stun-gunned can
attest, a proper electrical shock hurts like *HELL*. It's all in the
anticipation..

Sounds like a job for the SNAKE! (Eel to non-Merkins). A little used
but highly honored tool in the AT toolbox, and friend to plumbers
everywhere. You can save yourself some money by giving the electric
snake a whirl.
For people unfamiliar with the device, it's a looong, flexible steel
cable with a screw-drill bit on one end. The other end is attached
either to a hand-crank or an electric motor. If you want to be a real
trooper about it, give the hand snake a first try. You slide the drill
bit through the layers of grogansoil, around the neck of the toilet
pipe, and continue pushing until it can go no farther.. then DRILL.
But the electric snake is the most fun, as this horrid beast is
capable of generating extremely powerful torque, and while quite
effective in boring through stubborn drain blockages, a novice can
easily lose control sending coils of steel snake whipping around the
bathroom area, spraying fresh sewage and feces hither and yon while
whipping into bystanders like an insane bionic anaconda.
I'm not sure whether it's a hazy childhood memory or a
barely-repressed psychological scar, but I can remember the first time
my father took an electric snake to our toilet.. after a few minutes of
progress, it went absolutely berserk, it's serrated, filth-covered shaft
and cruelly-hooked bit withdrawing from the toilet and slapping around
the bathroom, against me and the walls because my father refused to
admit defeat and simply turn the damn thing off by letting go of the
deadman switch, nooooo, he had to fight it for supremacy, and lose.
I had the pleasure of using a hand snake last year. When deep-toilet
probes were unable to find the source of blockage, a more direct
approach was taken. The access cap was removed from the shitpipe that
ran from the upstairs toilet to the septic tank, and I was elected to
perform the awkward duty of running the snake and my hands into the
access hole a few inches above my head.
The snake wouldn't penetrate more than a foot or 2 into the hole, and
was unable to attach itself to the blockage. I remember carefully
guiding the snake head around a bend in the pipe, wondering exactly how
many toilets it had probed, how many generations of human manure
composed the corrosion along it's mighty shaft...
Alas, the snake failed, so my family cheered me on (laughed, actually)
as I jammed my arm up to the shoulder in the small sewage pipe, finally
finding a barbie doll, covered in shit and wedged *good and tight* in
the pipe. Should have kept the little plastic spelunker as a personal
tasteless mascot, "Alice in Groganland, or Through the Shitting Glass".
Funny in a way, that feces changes it's smell in plumbing. A healthy
sewage pipe smells unlike fresh grogans, much more pleasant actually.
Although septic tanks are much, MUCH worse. Any plumbers with stories
out there?
ObTorture: A personal revenge fantasy of mine... hang the nude victim
by their wrists from a chain winch in a tree, and SLOWLY lower them feet
first into a brimming septic tank. Ever so slowly, so they have hours to
appreciate the feel of 10,000 gallons of YOUR shit slowly enveloping
them. I wonder if they'd stay as still as possible, to avoid having to
feel grogans and toilet paper sloshing around their legs?
Finally, when only their upturned nose is above the sewage.. leave
them there and take a nice, relaxing shit. They have to fall asleep SOME
time... Or give them a snorkel, and lower them a foot beneath the
surface.
I'm assuming that their attitude towards milk is the same as mine
towards making pizza. I couldn't give a rats ass it it falls on the
floor, gets sneezed on, gets flies on it, etc. because it's going into a
400 degree oven for 20 minutes, which will kill any germs on it. Since
milk is filtered and pasteurized, they probably don't care what lands on
it or goes into it...
That's probably why milk is pasteurized in the first place. Not to
make it last longer, but to kill all of the filth, tetanus and E. Coli
it picks up from sitting in a fly, shit, and dirt filed barn.

Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. You know, the thing I allways

made-up crap. Guess we'll never know who the real freaks are without

DINGDINGDINGDING!!!! You are CORRECT sir!! Pasteurization is named after
Frog named Pasteur, who proved that if you heat a liquid substance to at
least 165 degrees Fahrenheit, you will kill off an bacteria
contaminating it. Popular legend goes that he got the idea that milk
needed to be sterilized after some tubercular little sprog dropped her
death-laden dolly into a community milk can whilst Jean-Claude the
Farmer was selling it. Actually M. Pasteur was a microbiologist who was
trying to find a way to keep his brain-heart infusions from (a) going
over and (b) contaminating what he was wanting to study.
Actually tuberculosis in milk is spread by tubercular cows, and about
the only way to deal with that is to not have tubercular cows. Altho it
is fun to imagine some demented farmer, angry at his lot in life,
stealing his little daughter's horrible, tubercular-spray-laden Mrs.
Beasley doll, and dipping it over and over and over in the milk cans
destined for the rich elite of the town:
"HAH! Take ZIS, yu foul town councilman! May yur wife cough out her

Well, as I've told people who are skittish about touching the
doorknobs on the insides of restroom doors, we'll all probably
have unwittingly ingested a kilo of other guys' smegma by the
time we expire, anyway.
There's a school of theological thought in which it's maintained
that we'll all get the to see the Big Picture when we die and go
to Hebbin. (ObGeorgeWashingtonCarver: "Don't you want to go to
Hebbin, boy?" "No suh, I wants t'go to Tuskegee!") Along with
more meaningful secrets, like whether Susie Rottencrotch faked that
orgasm up against the back wall of the gym during the Junior Prom,
we'll find out just how many lungers, boogers, and spooge wads we
consumed during our lifetimes without even realizing it. It'll be
an existentially humbling experience, I'm sure.
I had a friend in the Coast Guard, a particularly perverted cook,
who didn't "season" the food in such ways as far as I know. But
one night he got rip-roaringly drunk, went out to one of the air-
planes, and did some serious "hangar flying" while consuming a
six-pack of Budweiser talls in addition to whatever he'd already
imbibed. The crew for the next morning's training flight was
surprised to find the cockpit splattered with fragrant vomit and
littered with empty beer cans. The command was reportedly Not
Amused (this was shortly before my time), but perp was never
apprehended; my friend the twisted cook revealed all to me a
couple of years after the fact when I came into the galley between
meals to grab a cup of coffee.

Father-In-Law is a plumber. It's amazing how much shit he put's up with
(Yes, pun intended). He has snaked my drains on more than one occasion.
He has an electric snake, that I will not touch.. Doesn't seem to bother

Let me clear up some of the confusion and describe the metal beast:
About 1 1/5 meters heigh, about 4 meters in diameter. Fairly small.
See, most farmers around the area were farming with cattle and maize.
The milkery was usually just a sideline thing along with some porkers
and chickens. They used to sell to the general public from a little
shed. The container didn't have a hatch - the whole top was basically
a lid with an arm. Thinking way back - the lid was normally completely
open.
What cured me completely from my "fresh from the cow" milk-drinking
addiction was when I witnessed them bringing the drums containing milk
to the shed where it was sold. They used to drive with a pickup (known
in SA as a "bakkie"), from the shed to the container tank, about 300
yards, tap some milk from the container into 50 litre drums, and then
tap the milk from these drums into the containers brought their by the
general public. When tapping the milk from the drums into
bottles/containers of the buyer I actually saw them covering the
opening with a cloth to catch the flies, bugs, and whatever else
managed to get into the container in the first place. This obviously
happened behind the counter. Well, I guess some things are better left
unseen.
ObT: Nothing prepares you for a life of eating red meat like
witnessing a traditional cow slaughter. I only witnessed it once.
Basically they flip it on it's side, tie its legs together tight, and
slash its throat. The moment they start slicing the cow waves them a
final goodbye by letting go of all its bodily functions. Glub help the
poor city slicker that came along to witness the "farmboy" way of
living, esp. if he positioned himself on the wrong end of the cow at
this particular time. *** POOOOOOP *** *** PISSSSSSSS ***

Also Iain M. Banks' novel 'Consider Phlebas' opens with the protagonist
being drowned in sewage as a form of ceremonial execution; he's hung up in
chains in the cellar while upstairs a bunch of people have an uproarious
feast with regular latrine breaks so he gets the benefit. Lovely.

I know what you mean. It's a moist, mulchy bouquet that flirts with

I recently became a homeowner for the first time, and being in a
semi-rural area, my house is equipped with a septic tank. I have
to confess that I didn't even know how the things worked until my
real estate agent gave me a much-Xeroxed information sheet. The
technology is actually quite simple, and all the more fascinating
for being so effective.
An interesting side effect of my new septic tank ownership is that
I've evolved a far more personal involvement with my grogans and
their fate. As I pause with my hand on the flushing handle and
admire my latest handiwork floating under a delicate blanket of
toilet tissue like a breakfast sausage peeking out from underneath
a HoJo's flapjack in a lake of cheap maple syrup, I think about it
making its last one-way trip, sliding down the pipes and into the
dark, musty void underneath my front lawn. I wonder how long it
will last in recognizable form before succumbing to the moisture
and bacteria and contributing its all to that indistinguishable
subterranean ooze. Then I steel myself, lift my chin in bold
resignation and focus my unblinking gaze on infinity, and push the
handle.

Well, being an ex-cop/pig/law enforcement officer myself, I felt great
pride when the first Blaster was bought by a very senior police
official based in Johannesburg. I guess that just really boosts
everybodies confidence in our police force.
Personally I won't buy a Blaster. My favourite trick is to wait until
begger/hijacker/thief shoves his arm through my car window. Now, few
people in Johannesburg will even dare to drive with their windows
open, for obvious reasons. But unlike them, I see it as an
oppertunity. When said thief/begger shoves his arm through, I quickly
roll the window up and drive off, with said begger/thief trying his
best to out-run my car. Great fun, esp. when I finally let him go...
Urban legend has it that the cops once stopped a very traumatised old
lady who was driving around with just an arm stuck in the window. The
rest of the coon just couldn't keep up.......

I'm trying to imagine a septic tank which overflows regulerly and needs
over 1000 cubic feet of overflow capcity.

Best of all, the article said that it was only $600-$700.. dunno if
those are US dollars, if so then I'd call that insanely cheap. I just
hope that it doesn't have any tell-tale nozzles or protuberances,
although people might simply buy little metal pieces that look the same
to bluff out criminals, kinda like the fake car alarm stickers. Of
course, this only works on reasonably intelligent criminals.. now, a
neat row of scorch marks around each car door would be wonderful,
signifying that not only does the driver own The Blaster, but the driver
USES The Blaster and doesn't give a good goddamn who knows about it.
I'd like to hear some follow-up. When the article was written, it
hadn't been used yet. I'm hoping that word will get around... if it
significantly decreases carjacking, it just might make an appearance in
america. No matter the legality of it...
ObBluff: I look kind scary according to some normal people, but not
nearly enough for my personal comfort when traversing certain urban
areas of Cleveland. I used to do that a lot, and had a semi-disguise
worked out. It generally involved a well-worn army jacket, several weeks
of beard growth, and a constant stream of low stream-of-conciousness
muttering. Since street loonies are a very common sight on Cleveland
streets (and
free entertainment), I easily radiated waves of "better stay faaar away
from me" without attracting undue attention (the cops don't hassle the
loonies unless they start running into traffic or chasing people or
something).
It helped that this disguise wasn't much of stretch for me, the only
problem was remembering NOT to mutter out loud and giggle to myself when
I was in a relatively safe area, such as a mall or grocery store.
Too bad it couldn't be marketed in a kit. One filthy-looking army
jacket, some water-soluble dirt substitute, a wig of long, matted,
unkempt hair for those who don't have it already, and a small booklet
entitled "How to Simulate Schizophrenia." Not nearly as tasteless as The
Blaster, but you can use it as a pedestrian.
ObBlaster: The Blaster for pedestrians: A regular, backpack-mounted
flamethrower. I wonder what the legality of a flamethrower is? I bet
it's one of those things that you could find a legal loophole for..
after all, you'd never carry it concealed....

Kinda depends where you are, so to speak. I have a septic tank
myself.(Well, two, actually) My system is so close to the water table
here, I have a secondary system installed on them called a lift station
and drainfield. It takes the overflow from the tank and pumps it up to a
set of pipes buried two feet below the grass.
The pump on tank #2 failed a few months ago, resulting in fecal effulent
oozing down the tenant's driveway. Oh, fucking joy. Called the plumber,
got a 500 dollar repair estimate. Thanked him and told him I would get
back to him. Meanwhile, tenant arrives home, and we discuss options. He
advises he has a buddy in the plumbing supply biz, and a phonecall
later, we have a pump in hand for a hundred bucks. I offer the lad an
even hundred to install it, and much to my suprise, he agrees.
Watching and smelling the resulting surgury on the shit plumbing was
interesting, to say the least. It is the most un-holy stench
immaginable. The oily film on the blackwater, the vapors that arose...

Imagine the Blaster installed on a SUV.
Soccer mom: "Why did you pull ME over, Officer"
Officer: "Ma'am, you were doing 70 in a 35 zone"
Soccer mom: "Can't you see I am in a hurry? Little Buffy is

Officer: "Sorry Ma'am, this will only take a few

The Beemer mounted one I saw is very sleek. The nozzles are mounted
behind a pair of sliding port doors. As for tell tale scorchmarks, the
nozzles are angled such that the flames stay well clear of that
expensive pain job...
Of course, there were some "concerned officials" who pointed out that
the Blaster, when deployed, activates on *both* sides of the vehicle,
despite which side of said vehicle the perp is on. Issues of innocent
passers-by on the other side of the deploying vehicle and other such
minimal considerations were raised. Yeah, like anyone is truly
innocent anyway...

That's just poor engineering; it shouldn't take too much trouble to
have side-select switch or something...
Is it the Arabs who always wipe with one hand and never use that hand to
eat with because it's 'unclean'? With a cultural hangup that big, the
tortures probably even more effective.
Speaking of torture, Piers Anthony (of all people) wrote a piece called
"On the Uses of Torture", about a fella that undergoes some serious bodily
rearrangement to get a trade deal with some aliens. Anyway, I remember a
description from that story about a Persian torture called 'the boat
torture'.
Basically, they took a small boat and tied the victim spread-eagled inside
it. Then they start feeding him honey and grapes, and they prick his
eyeballs with needles if he refuses to eat. They let him sit in the hot
sun in a pool of his own waste, with the flies landing on him to eat up
the excess honey and such. I'm assuming they gave the person enough water
to survive, otherwise the torture wouldn't last too long...
