1. Inngangur

Internet. Því miður, með skorti á rétta notkun, er ekki það
var áður.

Vinsamlegast lestu þessa FAQ ef þú ert nýliði hópsins eða ef þú
held að það sé í lagi að loga (kynþáttafordómar, England, Minnesota,
Bandaríkin, Hillary
Clinton, Colin Kaepernick, osfrv.) Án þess að skrifa brandara.

Ef þér líður ekki eins og að lesa þetta allt, vinsamlegast hafðu
samband við
eftirfarandi 2 reglur:

*** EKKI FJÁRSTAÐU NÝJUSTUÐU SÍNU ÞAR ÞEGAR FJÖLGAR ***
*** GERÐ AÐ ÖÐRUM AÐ ÞÚ HELDUR ÞEGA GERA ÞÉR ÞÚ ***

Svo lengi sem þú fylgist alltaf með þessu og aðrir gera það sama,
þetta
Fréttastofan mun verða miklu meira gefandi fyrir alla.

3. Öruggur notkun á atj - athugasemd fyrir newbies

Þannig að þú ert nýr þátttakandi í þessum fréttahópi, ha? Jæja, ég
vona að þú
hafa asbest föt þín vel - vegna þess að, án tillits til þess sem fólk
segir,
atj er mitt svæði fyrir nýja meðlimi. Fólkið sem las þennan hóp
eru ekki mjög þolinmóðir með kjánalegum mistökum og eru ekki mjög
spenntir
í að fara um logandi þá. Þessi staður er ekki fyrir veikburða
andi ...

--------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

4. Algengar spurningar

Q: Hæ. Ég vil ekki lesa þessa langa algenga FAQ. Fékk fljótur ráðgjöf
fyrir mig?

A: Já. Ekki setja neitt í þessa fréttahóp án þess að fela í sér
smekklaust brandari ásamt því. Það er það mikilvægasta sem ég get
segja þér.

Sp .: Hvað er brandari?

A: Orðið "grín" kemur frá "jakki", til að "ganga saman". A "brandari"

= "Government Intelligence"

Sumir brandarar eru flóknari, svo sem "Bungee Jumping in Mexico"

A: Nei. Lýsingin var skrifuð svona vegna þess að of margir menntuðu
senda óþarfa rusl í stað smekklausa brandara. Ef allir staða
viðeigandi efni til þessa fréttahóps, þessi lýsing myndi nefna
lengur gilda. Við skulum öll vinna að þessum enda. Vinsamlegast sendu
aðeins
smekklaus brandara hér. Ef þú vilt verða vandvirkur í þessu, læra
verk slíkra meistara smekklaust brandara sem Bob Tulk og Blanche
Knott.

Q: Hæ, ég hef ekki áhuga á því sem þessi hópur er um, ég er bara að
prófa
Fréttargáttin mín hér, því miður, það er aðeins mínútu-

A: Það eru staðir til að prófa nettengingu þína. Þetta er ekki einn
af þeim. Hvorki er önnur fréttahópur nefndur alt.test eða
eitthvað eins og það. Vinsamlegast farðu prófunum þínum þar. Annars
vera tilbúinn
að fá flamed.

Q: Hey, ég fann þessa * frábæra * bók sem ber yfirskriftina "Hvernig á
að vinna vini og
Áhrif fólk "skrifað af þessum sjónarhóli sem heitir Dale Carnegie sem
Mig langar að sýna öllum þér,

A: Vinsamlegast ekki. Þú munt ekki gera neina vini hérna svona.

Q: Mér líkar húmor, en ég vil ekki vera svikinn.
Er alt.tasteless.jokes fyrir mig?

A: Nei. Hvers vegna ferðu ekki til rec.humor.funny (stjórnað fréttahóp
tryggð að vera ósæmandi) eða rec.funny (sem er líklega öruggari
veðja fyrir þunnt skinned)?

Q: Ég sá grín sem ég líkaði við, og ég hef nokkuð tengt brandari það
Mig langar að senda undir sömu þræði. Hvernig ætti ég að fara um
gera þetta?

A: Farðu bara um fyrirtækið þitt með því að nota algengan sen

Lees asseblief hierdie algemene vrae as u 'n nuweling by die groep is
of as u
Hillary
Clinton, Colin Kaepernick, ens.)

stil) meerderheid.

Sterkte.

4. Algemene vrae

V: Hoi. Ek wil nie hierdie hele lang FAQ lees nie. Het jy 'n vinnige
raad
vir my?

A: Ja.
vertel jou.

V: Wat is 'n grap?

'N "grap" is
Soos 'n koan, voeg twee of meer gedagtes of konsepte bymekaar

"Regering" + "Intelligensie"
= "Regering Intelligensie"

Sommige grappies is meer kompleks, soos "Bungee Jumping in Mexico"
en "Death by Rooroo" en "The parable of the wedding guest", maar

eerder as smaakloos of snaaks. "Beteken dit dat dit gepas is om te
plaas
dinge wat net ongeskik is, selfs al is dit nie snaaks nie?

A: Nee.
As almal gepos
word
toepaslike materiaal vir hierdie nuusgroep, daardie beskrywing sou nee
langer geld. Kom ons werk almal tot hierdie doel. Slegs pos asb
smaaklose grappies hier.
Blanche
Knott.

V: Hoi, ek is nie geďnteresseerd in waaroor hierdie groep gaan nie, ek
toets net
my nuuspoort hier, jammer daarvoor, wees net 'n minuut-

A: Daar is plekke om jou netwerkverbinding te toets. Dit is nie een
nie

Is alt.tasteless.jokes vir my?

A: Nee.
veiliger is

verwante grap
Ek wil graag onder dieselfde draad plaas. Hoe moet ek gaan
doen dit?

A: Gaan net oor jou besigheid met gesonde verstand. As dit lank was
paragraaf storie grap.

so graag vertel. Wat is
die aanvaarbare manier om dit te doen?

A: Dit is altyd beter om hierdie dinge via e-pos te doen. Ongelukkig

Dit het my gepla,
want dit
verwys na (Hitler, Jode, blankes, swartes, homoseksuele, ens.)
op 'n afwykende manier. Wat kan ek hieraan doen?

A: Goeie vraag. 'N Algemene reël in hierdie situasie is dat nee
'n mens gee om wat jy dink. As jy na die net met 'n vlam van hierdie
pos
grap, jy mors bandwydte en alles wat jy doen, is ander seer
mense af. As 'n grap nie snaaks is nie, laat dit net in vrede sterf.
As jy
In hierdie groep is daar nie so iets soos politieke
"wops", "niggers", "crackers", "spics" of "fudge-packers", niemand is
gaan sorg so lank as wat jy 'n grap plaas en nie 'n paar nie
opsetlik bedreigende of inflammatoriese diatribe.

V: Dit is nie moontlik nie. Ek
is

A: Ek was bang dit sal tot hierdie punt kom. As jy 'n
hier rond. Was hierdie nuusgroep korrek gebruik, sou daar wees
minste een grap in elke pos. So as jy 'n klag het wat jy

Hy is
regtig
pis my elke keer as hy poste - en hy posteer baie. Hoe kry ek
hom om te stop? Vlam elkeen van sy poste?

A: Dit word 'n moordlęer genoem.

(voeg
minderheid hier). Is dit nie onwettig nie?

N kyk. Hier, laat my jou help
-
alt.tasteless.jokes. As jy 'n grap oor swartes, of Chicanos, lees,
My
gevind
snaaks. So, maak jou yap toe.
alt.sensitivity, alt.save.the.earth, alt.save.the.whales., of
alt.inner.child.
onaantreklik
en un presentable in die openbaar. Vandaar die term smaakloos in die
nuusgroep titel.

http://mugsy.org/asa_faq/glossary/usenet.shtml

is nie,
soos

vreemdeling in The Bronx, NY, vir aanwysings.

irriterende.

--------------------------------------------------
-------------------------

6. Samevatting

As jy my (of enigiemand) in die nuusgroep wil vlam, sluit asseblief
'n objoke wanneer jy dit doen. Bykomende voorstel - vermy plasing
binaries

Looks like I'm out of reach, retention-wise, with the old threads. Maybe
this place needed a good Icelandic FAQ.

Mongolia- spaghetti and fireworks... supposedly Marco Polo brought lo
mein noodles back from the Mongolians and the Italians swapped out the
bits of chicken and vegetables for olive oil, cheese and pesto....
and Genghis Kahn fired colorful exploding skyrockets into the faces of
enemy combatants... the beginnings of "shock and awe"

Iceland is more of an ancient hideout for Vikings, like the caves in
Missouri where the James gang hid out. So the question here is what
did the Vikings contribute, and there the answer is ocean going
shipping, and guilt free world conquest, rape and pillage... when the
Vikings retired Spain France and England took up the baton, and now
it's up to America to preserve the traditions.

i.e., Iceland should be _the_ go-to site for experimenting with the
deadliest chemical/biological compounds as well as the international
free-for-all nuclear weapons test site

The last Chinese buffet with Mongolian barbecue here closed up a year
ago. I like the idea of putting funny money in the tip jar, but it was
worth tossing in a dollar bill and watching the non-English speaking
cook getting all smiley and thankful to get 1 dollar tip.

The same place had a sign over the Mongolian bbq buffet tables reading
"No Eat Before Cook"... so the obvious joke would have been to ask if
the cook had eaten yet, but unfortunately none of the Chinese people
there would understand .

their collective bodies' Matrix-like thermal-generated power could
replace the hydroelectric need throughout most of non-EU Europe,
excluding limeys, assuming they ever finalized that BREXIT deal

"The Matrix" was a '99 flick with the premise that AI computers had
somehow enslaved every last human on earth in bio-electric generating
pods stacked from 50 to 100+ stories high with cables attached to
various points on the body to supply "food" and water alongside an
HDMI-type cable rammed into the back of everyone's skull via a metal
plate-type female port accepting a perpetual virtual reality feed of the
entire world and most everything in it

..so fuckin' tired of having to explain even the most rudimentary basics
to your non-entertainment-watching ass

he imploded when I dropped clues as to his real identity and actual
hobbies -- told you long ago I killed Spit in a single post, just as I
did with Checky (though Checky's was far more serious -- it ran him
out of Usenet for over three years, and for good reason)

I wouldn't've made either of their info public, and Spit really didn't
have anything to be embarrassed about, but it was the prospect of
unveiling the truth that drove them both out, permanently

I could drop into auk and re-kill Checky at any moment, but I'm a
live-and-let-live type at heart

I won't reveal either of their secrets (was very careful in letting Spit
know without tipping the hand to anyone else), and it was a shame to see
Spit react the way he did. Same with RC (apparently), but likely knocked
him on his proverbial ass with what I knew (which wasn't criminally bad,
btw -- I actually think he's a good guy with a propensity to reflect
maniacally genocidal evil as a sort of personal coping mechanism)

DDA exposed my info within a week of when I first appeared.. the
difference being, I had nothing to hide or be embarrassed about

it gave me tremendous respect for DDA right out of the gate, though in
retrospect, he just took advantage of a newbie who'd thrown up a few
posts without fudged headers -- my respect for him now being his ability
to put together some excellent dry-humored posts

your respect comes from an almost impossible to recreate sense of humor
with a calmness and truly don't-give-a-shit attitude coupled with an
unpredictable variance between silliness, strength, and a sense of
reality clouded only by a complete lack of knowledge of everyday
political truths

correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I'd seen a post at some time to
your sort of stealthily dropping you're coC (even a mention of that soup
mfg guy)

if you're not, you won't know what I'm referring to here, but I was in a
one-cup, no-kitchen, attendance-taker ('missed you last week') w/out
institutional 'help-joints' for a bit over 5 years -- every last hair
under water, brunch w/the gang at the same ol' Chinese buffet (sometimes
a bbq joint, sort of as a treat, being it was more expensive) -- pretty
much as hard line as it gets (the head presby genuinely thought we were
the only sound group in the state) ..the memory tripped by your
mentioning, 'grape'

my question: did air J take artos (ἄρτος) or azumos (ἄζυμος) in all four
accounts (including I Cor)?

..now look at the language of L 22 in the "will not drink" line..
"until", when? -- "the KoG shall come"

that's POST-risen -- i.e., 'glorified' blood or, 'new wine', which
should be put into new bottles (so both are preserved)

there's much more (which I'll point out, if you _are_ Stone/Scott), but
the main point is -- it's not crackers and Welch's, which is just a part
why I flipped to the ancient unified variety of assembly founded near
the modern-day 'Mosque of Omar ibn Al-Khattab' around 33 CE -- Gmaps

the promise of being able to buy/sell easier throughout their pitiful
little continent, not thinking that such a globalized community would
bring about a ton of unforeseen issues such as forced common values, the
migration problem, etc..

a North American Union would be much easier to put together, but if
we're going to globalize in our neck of the woods we need to include
South America so we can rule both hemispheres

the cartels would come to a screeching halt (our Special Forces alone
could take care of that), we'd have a shit-ton of cheap labor with all
the Latinos, a high-speed rail network from Alaska/Nunavut/Newfoundland
and Labrador down to Tierra del Fuego, much more oil than the entire
Middle East, year-round skiing with no Visa/Passport requirements, and
enough extra land to trigger a housing boom unlike the world has ever
seen, not to mention military control over both hemispheres

they could somewhat duplicate that in the East with a Euro/Middle
East/African Union, but that just gives 'em a bunch of do-nothing
starving niggers with AIDS and desert-dwelling jihadist camel rammers

be our ultimate downfall -- they could march into any military compound
and gain complete control without firing a shot while their lolita-
looking counterparts take over Congress

I've only Google-dived.. not gone after rl shit outside the alt groups,
with the exception of RC because he meddled in crap all over the
internet for some time, so even a general search on his name brought up
forums, blogs he'd comment-bombed, and a few websites that one of the
GP-types built (Mr. FBI, maybe?) that was basically an anti-RC site

Rich and I traded emails for a few months as well but, it was all about
atj. I've been on and off liking him since the beginning, mainly
disliking when he got too explanatory about his life. Other than that, I
had nothing against him and hope he wanders back in some time. His humor
was definitely unique. Sort of reminded me of a Mad Hatter on acid.

there was maybe two or three, "To be continued.." shows over the eight
seasons and there were ongoing investigations into some real bad-ass
killers that were actually smart enough to give Dexter a hard time, but
I never got bored of a single episode

sounds like you wouldn't like Criminal Minds which does have a few
annoying characters, but I can only think of one or two episodes of
Dexter you might not like -- the ones he doesn't strap down, mindfuck,
torture or kill anyone

I only read on the shitter, and I'd be on the shitter a lot more if we
didn't have so many nice roads, trails, and passes to ride in CO, with
skiing in the winter

that and I haven't read fiction anything since I read comic books back
in middle school -- it's either political or business/marketing, the
thinking being, 'why waste time reading about shit that never actually
happened' -- they got movies for that type of thing

<reminds me> ..find and watch "The Hateful Eight" some time.. my new

we should start offering constructive criticism to new posters, as well
-- no more of this enticing people to run a sharp blade into and across
their neck, senseless name calling, or suggesting they've had carnal
knowledge with a genus ovis

1. Introduction

Greetings and welcome to what used to be the funniest place on the
Internet. Unfortunately, through lack of proper use atj is not what it
used to be.

Please read this FAQ if you are a newcomer to the group or if you
think it's okay to flame (racists, England, Minnesota, USA, Hillary
Clinton, Colin Kaepernick, etc.) without writing a joke.

If you don't feel like reading this entire FAQ, please remember the
following 2 rules:

*** DON'T POST TO THE NEWSGROUP WITHOUT INCLUDING A JOKE ***
*** DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU ***

As long as you always abide by this, and others do the same, this
newsgroup will be a much more rewarding endeavor for everyone.

3. Safe Use of atj - a note for newbies

So you are a new participant in this newsgroup, eh? Well, I hope you
have your asbestos suit handy--because, regardless of what folks say,
atj is a mine field for new members. The people who read this group
are not very patient with silly mistakes, and are not very restrained
in going about flaming them. This place is not for the weak of
spirit...

That being said, if you go over this FAQ carefully, your chances of
posting unburned will be significantly higher. And just remember: if
there's one thing this newsgroup needs, it's new blood, newbies with
new jokes. So, regardless of the result, if you are posting new
material to atj, your work will be appreciated by the (probably
silent) majority.

Good luck.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Hi. I don't want to read this whole long FAQ. Got any quick advice
for me?

A: Yes. Don't post anything to this newsgroup without including a
tasteless joke along with it. That's the most important thing I can
tell you.

Q: What is a joke?

A: The word "joke" comes from "yoke", to "join together". A "joke" is
like a koan, joining together two or more thoughts or concepts which
are held to be serious and even sacred, but which are irreconcilable.
For example-

"What would Jesus do?" + "What would you do for a Klondike Bar?"
= "What would Jesus do for a Klondike Bar?"

"Government" + "Intelligence"
= "Government Intelligence"

Some jokes are more complex, such as "Bungee Jumping in Mexico"
and "Death by Rooroo", and "The parable of the wedding guest", but
similarly conjoin irreconcilable concepts.

Q: I see the description of this newsgroup is "sometimes disgusting
rather than tasteless or funny." Does that mean it's proper to post
stuff that is just plain disgusting, even if it's not funny?

A: No. The description was written that way because too many folks
post useless junk instead of tasteless jokes. If everyone posted
appropriate material to this newsgroup, that description would no
longer apply. Let's all work towards this end. Please post only
tasteless jokes here. If you want to become proficient at this, study
the work of such masters of tasteless jokes as Bob Tulk and Blanche
Knott.

Q: Hi, I'm not interested in what this group's about, I'm just testing
my news gateway here, sorry about that, only be a minute-

A: There are places for testing your net connection. This is not one
of them. Neither is any other newsgroup not named alt.test or
something like it. Please take your tests there. Otherwise be prepared
to get flamed.

Q: Hey, I found this *great* book entitled "How to Win Friends and
Influence People" written by this visionary named Dale Carnegie that
I'd like to show to all you guys-

A: Please don't. You won't make any friends here like that.

Q: I like humor, but I don't want to be offended.
Is alt.tasteless.jokes for me?

A: No. Why don't you go to rec.humor.funny (a moderated newsgroup
guaranteed to be inoffensive) or rec.funny (which is probably a safer
bet for the thin-skinned)?

Q: I saw a joke that I liked, and I have a somewhat related joke that
I would like to post under the same thread. How should I go about
doing this?

A: Just go about your business using common sense. If it was a long
story joke that you read, and you want to post a joke relating to it,
you probably do not need to copy the whole joke into your reply.
This is especially inappropriate if you post a one-liner after a five
paragraph story joke. This wastes time, and is generally a good way
to get yourself flamed.

Q: I saw a joke that I liked. I'd like to tell the poster so. What is
the accepted way of doing this?

A: It's always better to do these things via email. Unfortunately
nobody uses real email addresses because of spambots.

Q: I saw a joke that just was not funny. It bothered me because it
made reference to (Hitler, Jews, whites, blacks, homosexuals, etc.)
in a disparaging manner. What can I do about this?

A: Good question. A general rule of thumb in this situation is that no
one cares what you think. If you post to the net with a flame of this
joke, you waste bandwidth and all you are doing is pissing other
people off. If a joke is not funny, just let it die in peace. If you
have a good sense of humor, and have correctly gauged the joke's
value, it will disappear quickly. If not, you, and not the poster, may
be the problem. In this group there is no such thing as political
correctness, and nothing is "taboo", nothing is sacred - "freedom of
speech" is the rule, and if your joke includes terms such as "kikes",
"wops", "niggers", "crackers", "spics" or "fudge-packers", no one is
going to care as long as you are posting a joke and not some
intentionally threatening or inflammatory diatribe.

Q: That's not good enough. I want to let this person know that I do
not appreciate the joke and possibly shame him/her into refraining
from posting in the future. What do I do now?

A: It's always good to have such dedication on this group - keeps us
strong. If you feel the need to flame the poster of this joke, by all
means do it. Hey, it's a free world, right?

Q: It's not possible. I want to tell the world what I think. I'm
posting on the net and if you don't like it then screw off, okay?

A: I was afraid it would get to this point. If you need to post a
flame for everyone to see and appreciate (and I have seen some
flames that qualify as being material that I appreciate) then post a
joke with it. That's what the 'objoke' means on all of these posts
around here. Were this newsgroup used correctly there would be at
least one joke in every post. So if you've got a complaint that you
want the world to hear, include a joke that you want the world to hear
and you will be more appreciated.

Q: Okay, how about this (Mel, Lik_My_Sak, et. al.) guy? He really
pisses me off every time he posts - and he posts a lot. How do I get
him to stop? Flame every one of his posts?

A: It's called a killfile. Look into it.

Q: I saw a joke that was very insensitive to the struggles of (insert
minority here). Isn't that illegal?

A: Look. Can you read the name of this group? Here, let me help you -
alt.tasteless.jokes. When you read a joke about blacks, or Chicanos,
or mathematicians, what you are reading is the epitome of
tastelessness, i.e. judging a group of people based on stereotypes. My
advice to you would be deal with it. I guarantee that for every one of
you who is offended, a bunch of tasteless people found the joke very
funny. So shut yer yap. Remember who you are dealing with here: not
alt.sensitivity, alt.save.the.earth, alt.save.the.whales., or
alt.inner.child. The people who post here are often crude, obnoxious
and un presentable in public. Hence the term tasteless in the
newsgroup title. If you are offended by a joke then perhaps you are in
the wrong place.

And no, it's not illegal to post such a joke.

In addition, you may find other abbreviations not so well documented,
such as

ESOD - "Eat shit and die."
ESOL - "Eat shit and live",

etc., which might be best learned by searching the Google Groups
archive. Beware asking regular users, this is like asking a passing
stranger in The Bronx, NY, for directions.

Good advice: when adding to a thread, always post to the bottom, and
avoid leaving a lot of headers on top, unless you intend to be
annoying.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Conclusion

If you want to flame me (or anyone) in the newsgroup please include
an objoke when you do so. Additional suggestion- avoid posting
binaries
here, and avoid crossposting to non-humor groups if at all possible.

In this area of western New York State there's a big population of
woodchucks, gray squirrels and racoons, all nothing but big fucking
rodents. A few years ago I got my driveway resurfaced. One of the
workers on the paving crew was a black man from the deep south.
He remarked to me "I've never seen so many 'coons in one place
before!" I was tempted to say "This is nothing, I used to live on the
south side of Chicago, you should see what that's like." But I thought
better of it, I wanted them to finish up and do a good job on the
driveway.

Denver tourists and non-natives are the worst.. mainly from CA, they
overcrowd and wreck our national parks, clog up the ski slopes, litter
the highways, and bring nothing but more drugs and Democrat votes

we could easily take care of most of them by rigging landslides along
certain touristy canyon roads and dismantling warning signs/barriers
around key curves that drop into 500+ foot ravines or near-frozen rivers

this AI sex robot thing's really taking off with seemingly everyone
looking to justify it -- Matt Drudge hasn't had a day without a link to
the subject for over a month now

never heard, "the movie was better than the book", but then there's few
books that can be read in one sitting while eating extra-buttered
popcorn and enjoying a 96oz Woodford Reserve with a little Coke

"A Million Ways to Die in the West" and "My Name is Nobody" are both
better than a "Blazing Saddles" sans the nigger jokes, but WITH the
nigger jokes, I can't imagine anything topping it outside a Tarantino
reboot

In a high altitude nuclear explosion, black people would absorb far
more energy from the flash than white people... and the fact that in
urban areas black people tend to be unemployed, "hang out" standing in
front of convenience stores to buy and sell drugs, sitting on steps
and porches "drinking a cold one", or just riding around in circles
and doing wheelies on motorized bicycles, scooters, dirt bikes, etc.,
a few nukes might not be a bad idea.

either gone underground lately or been cut off from Soros funding

you're too far north and have too much of a 'big city' rep for most

the insanity will escalate from the moment Trump reaches 270, prolly
from the east coast alone

Dems will relax when he's impeached, just as certain as their cranial
blood vessels will burst when he's re-eleced

the next 5 years're gonna be an escalated version of the previous 3

ganja's doing a great job of sufficiently altering their minds to the
point they'll have permanently collapsed the country into a quadruple+
gender, free processed food, free voodoo-quality medical care, socially
uptight overfilled prisons-type muzzie/messican migrant society on the
brink of nuclear war with damn near a half dozen countries that are
actively burying us in trade deficits to fuel the already record-high
incidents of domestic terrorism

put another way.. when Trump's done, we're all done

someone must've switched our tequila with some Everclear back on a
certain night at a dorm party when I eventually felt the need to go to
each of the 12 floors of the dorm and discharge damn near every fire

over-the-top CGI action sequences so ridiculous they're cartoonish

a few of them have the comedic-timing to make it entertaining, but the
vast majority are like the worst episodes of 'Starsky and Hutch'

for non-Millennial suburban hetero patriot whites?!

we have the right to get upset if our order isn't ready the moment we
drive up to the second window!

I'd move to that northwestern slice of MI, build a place directly on top
of the border -- two addresses -- max out the benefits, deductions, and
med care of both, and ultimately pledge allegiance to the country that
didn't economically collapse

I had a '63 Pontiac Catalina with a 389, 4 barrel and 4 speed. One day
I was doing an easy cruise 90 on I90 and came up over a hill and there
was a trooper with a radar on a tripod by the side of the road (radars
used to be big in those days). They didn't even bother to give chase,
but just waved urgently for me to slow down. Then one day a bunch of
friends and I were leaving a bar stewed to the gills, got into my car
and I put it in reverse and nailed it, big mistake, I didn't see the
concrete base of a light post about 30 feet behind me and hit that on
the left tail light at about 40. Cars in those days were built really
solid, but I put a crease in the rear quarter panel all the way to the
door. Oh well, at least the light pole didn't come down. We didn't
have seat belts back then either, cars were designed to go through
things.

A buddy of mine in 1969 had a '69 Mustang with a 302. Anything bigger,
351 or 428, needed to have the engine lifted up to change the spark
plugs, /really/ snug in there. It wasn't Ford's biggest, but it got 35
miles to the gallon on the open highway (I didn't believe that until I
saw it for myself) those were the days before polution control.

most college students miss the social aspect altogether, a few learn to
use the time to party, but only a handful take advantage of everything
it has to offer.. limitless booze, sex, and partying on dad's credit

got a '79 LeSabre after rolling the truck that lasted for almost a
decade -- great for changing lanes without having to check the blind
spot -- and got it for $200 flat from a towing company that specialized
in picking up repos and convicted drug dealers' cars

the money, food comes up, hold up a hundred with that, "lemme check the
food first" look, they hand it over and blam -- I can start gettin' a
shit-ton of the most expensive stuff on the menu!

mine was a corporate attorney whose office I used to bill my calls to a
HS gf when I was a freshman (racked up over $500 in long distance before
his secretary noticed) and who bought into "excess campus, textbook and
living expenses" as the excuse for booze money so I could use the cash I
actually worked for toward nightclub admissions, concerts and condoms

my stupidity capped at driving through multiple stop signs after
midnight (lights off) at 90+ mph in the RWD Nissan pickup carrying at
least a dozen freshly ripped-off radar detectors (for reselling @
school) with my teeth floating in Black Label beer

they're pretty touchy up here

pulled over for going through a stop sign early one morning in a nice
neighborhood (practically nonexistent crime), I decided to get out to
sort of stretch and unwind while he did whatever he was going to do only
to be drawn down on and screamed at to get back in the car

I pointed to my arm, motioning toward my skin tone, but the motherfucker
just screamed again for me to stay in the car ..and this back in the
early nineties well before 9/11 (shortly after Rodney King) with a white pig

1. Introduction

Greetings and welcome to what used to be the funniest place on the
Internet. Unfortunately, through lack of proper use atj is not what
it used to be.

DON'T POST TO THE NEWSGROUP WITHOUT INCLUDING A JOKE
DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU

As long as you always abide by this, and others do the same, this
newsgroup will be a much more rewarding endeavor for everyone.

3. Safe Use of atj - a note for newbies

So you are a new participant in this newsgroup, eh? Well, I hope you
have your asbestos suit handy--because, regardless of what folks say,
atj is a mine field for new members. The people who read this group
are not very patient with silly mistakes, and are not very restrained
in going about flaming them.
This place is not for the weak of spirit ...

Good luck.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: I saw a description of this newsgroup is "sometimes disgusting
obnoxious and un-presentable in public. Hence the term tasteless in
the newsgroup title. If you are offended by a joke then perhaps you
are in the wrong place.

And no, it's not illegal to post such a joke.

An ancient newsgroup sage once observed that to call someone a Nazi
or compare them to Hitler instantly ends any thread or conversation.
This does not apply here.

Q: I have some funny pictures of Richard Catto, your mother, the
moons of Pluto, etc.... is it okay to post them here?

A: No. Please don't post binaries here, use the appropriate binaries
groups, such as alt.binaries.pictures.grotesque - for your favorite
stomach-turning binary posts, and make note of a link or url here if
you must.

From: "Parsons" <Par...@Bellsouth.net>
Date: Sat, 2 Dec 2006 21:16:16 -0600

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a liberal
Democrat.

She asks her students to raise their hands if they were liberal
Democrats
too.

Not really knowing what a liberal Democrat was but wanting to be
like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy
fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy has not gone
along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to
be different.

"Because I'm not a liberal Democrat."

"Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?"

"Why I'm a proud conservative Republican," boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She
asks Lucy why she is a conservative Republican.

"Well, I was brought up to trust in myself instead of relying on an
intrusive government to care for me and do all of my thinking. My Dad
and Mom are conservative Republicans, and I am a conservative
Republican too."

The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly.
"What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron.
What would you be then?"

A pause, and a smile. "Then," says Lucy, "I'd be a liberal Democrat."

then tossing Covid-19 victims into plastic bags and burning them alive
must be an 'old way'.. China actually slowing the spread significantly
within their own country ..the only 'drawback' being Japan receiving a
little black rain from the ash fallout

for symphonic I prefer epic, like Les Friction (on YT)

lately I've been hooked on DJ-type pop mixes, especially NERVO -- two
gals with incredible talent (see "Hold On" & "Revolution")

favorite song's still Rihanna's, "Only Girl", at least for this week
