I did a full Celtic Cross spread to expand this message and placed The
World and the 10 of Swords in the centre. I didn't actually write down
the position of the cards as I usually do in my tarot journal BUT I
did note them down as I linked them up according to similar meanings.
Here is what I got:
Strength + 9 of Pents=Animals/nature
9 of Pents + Tower + The World=The ecosystem/global impact
The Devil + 4 of Cups + 10 of Wands=Disgust/an airbourne disease/
10 of Wands + 7 of Cups + 8 of Cups=Pollution/toxins
Ace of Swords + The Chariot=Public action/emergency strategies/heroic
9 of Pents + Devil + 8 of Cups=Weirdness/freaky toxins
The King of Pentacles=A rich man/a city council/human interest of
earth
Tower + Knight of Swords=Power plant which generates electricity
TODAYS NEWS from The Telegraph 12th June 2008:
Environmental groups attacked proposals to find councils (King of
Pentacles) to help build underground vaults to store radioactive
waste. (Devil/8 of Cups/10 of wands/4 of Cups/7 of Cups)
The environment secretary Hilary Benn (King of Pents?) said the vaults
would be "safe, secure and environmentally acceptable" Benn also added
that councils who co-operated would be doing "an essential service to
the nation" (Ace of Swords)
Business secretary John Sutton told emergency services (The Chariot)
at a conference in London that he wanted to see a new generation of
nuclear power stations (The Tower + Knight of Swords)built and
operating as quickly as possible
The Government has been accused of bribing local communities to 'bury
nuclear waste in their backgardens"
Friends of The Earth energy campaigner Neil Crumpton said "Building a
new generation of nuclear reactors would create more waste that is
even more toxic than current material. We need a long term strategy
(The Chariot) for dealing with our existing waste-not adding to it"
Business secretary Mr Hutton went on to say that he also aimed to
create an Office of Nuclear Development to make Government departments
already working on nuclear energy more efficient and a nuclear
develpment forum to discuss key issues and build the program forward
(The Chariot=Safety, development, strategy to control something
natural to create energy) The Chariot card may also indicate that
nuclear waste is currently stored underground mainly at military camps
as this card connects to war.
