In search of shorter email addresses

Three years ago, I got a new job which landed me an email address
@gecm.com however, due to Politics and take overs, they now insist that
I'm @baesystems.com which is a lot tougher to type in all the time. For
this reason [1], I'm off to work for Det Norske Veritas.

"But that's much longer," I hear you cry.

Well, yes it is, but then their domain is @dnv.com which is dead easy.

ANYWAY, I'm moving the Stockport [2] area in three weeks now so the
point of this ramble is to let you know that anyone who has existing
snailmail address, landline or email address for me can stop using them
now.

Of course, I don't yet know what my email will be there [3] so until we
find otherwise, please mail me using darth.er...@microsith.com
which, althoughn longer than what my current employer inflicts on me,
see [1]. And once it's in your address book, you won't need to type it
again. Um.

Just as soon as I get organdized, I'l arrange a "Rob's arrived in the
North" meet.

[1] OK there are other reasons too, but I won't go into them unless you
ask me very nicely.

Don't blame you.. I've always thought it was a bit too near Manchester..
which direction are you moving it.. if you take it slightly North-West
you could possibly tuck it into the coastline just below Southport.. it'd
be handy for the golf-course at Formby then as well..
