Does there have to be a sharp boundary between alive and not alive?

Science does not demand it.

Few atheists seem to understand
but no virus is alive. Your 'argument'
is with science.

Depends on your definition of alive.

Ignoring your nonfunctional link and responding to your question.

You need to qualify what you mean by the word "alive".

You also need to realise the day-to-day definition of any word need
not be the definition used by scientists.

Then your question can be answered with some degree of certainty.

Why do the atheists stutter back
and quail before so simple a question?

If you are suggesting that I'm an atheist then you're wrong.

As I've stated many times, I'm a pragmatic agnostic.

In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, come again?

You're not an atheist? I didn't know you were a theist.

You've been asked to present your definition of the word "alive".

For the simple reason if you cannot do that your question cannot be
answered with any degree of certainty.

So why do you quail before so simple a request?

Each time this very simple question
is raised, Miss Freepers tries to throw
enough dust in the air, to cover her
confusion and despair. LOL

Cowardly evasion by Loirbaj noted by one and all.

Define what you mean by the word "alive".

Then your question about viruses can be answered.
