Only *some* places? Ah well, I suppose if you're a freshly minted
green PFY, haven't worked at a statistically significant sample of
organizations, and haven't yet been introduced to anyone in marketing,
your view of the world might be limited enough to bring about such
bet-hedging.
Those of us who've been in the workforce a bit longer might beg to
differ.
I'd say more, but I've got a project mangler who's in sore need of
some disappointment right now...
I once had an interviewer ask me if I was a BOFH. He didn't get it... he
thought some sysadmins actually acted like the BOFH. Hehe.
