I have a desire to find some old Usenet posts, anywhere from six to 24
months old, made to the newsgroup "ott.general" by an individual who has
used Google's "Automatic Removal Tool" to remove the posts from the
Google archives. Is there anywhere else that I can look for these
posts?

Any opinions here are mine, not the Government's.

For a group like that, it might be worth asking the administrators of the
Ottawa hierarchy if they're aware of any such archives specific to that
hierarchy.
You could also try googling on the person's name or part of the
content along with the name of the newsgroup.

That's a thought... I've met one of them face-to-face; I'll ask him
about this the next time I see him.

Google won't work, unfortunately - the person's already deleted the
posts in question from that archive.
Try other search engines. If there is a public archive somewhere
containing the content you are seeking it may have been visited by one
or more of them.

Yes, but you could try Googling the web - which would find it if
anyone's archived the post and put it somewhere web-accessible (e.g. a
page of "best quotes from <foo> group", or "look at this numbskull I
read")

D'oh! Thanks.
(I guess forgetting something so obvious ruins my chance of getting PFY
status...)
Don't forget that if other people have quoted this persons posts they
are findable in Google Groups, if you use the posters name as a "string
search".
