Are there any public mailing lists or newsgroups for aviators?

Does anyone know if there's a repository of additional aircraft definitions
for the aircraftcap file, or more terrain maps? What format are the terrain
maps in?

I've got a few aircraft I'd like to add, and I'd do 'em sooner rather than
later if other people would find it useful.
