Anyone used VTserver to emulate a TU58 to an 11 of late? I'm trying to
use it to load XXDP and an OS onto an 11/73. I'm running VTserver on a
Windows 7 PC, and the results are ...not good. It tends to loop forever
painting the screen with the last character emitted from the PDP end. When I
can get it to download its little ODT boot program and start downloading a
file, it loads for 20 blocks and then hangs forever.

It reports itself as version 2.3.1.5 - has anyone fixed up a version that
will work better on later versions of Windows?

I have never used the Windopws version but I can vouch for the Unix
version as I have used it to load BSD-2.11 onto a real PDP using it.

-----------------

I need to load this again to my 11/84. Last time I tried I could load the
binary image, but when I tried to run the full install I ran into the 32MB problem where it fails if a file is over 32MB. I know there is supposed to be a fix for this, but I tried the Windows version, but maybe I did not have the corresponding code that runs on the pdp-11 side. The 2.9MSCP version seems to have the fix, not sure if the 2.11 does. I myself have never used the Unix version but plan to try it.
