Whenever I run an executable created from Fortran source, a line like:
> CPU time 0.08 Elapsed time 0.09
... is always printed after all program output. Is there any way to suppress that message?

EUREKA!
Fortran-supplied subroutine QUIETX ("QUIET eXit"?): "Suppress all summary typeout when the program terminates, including ... CPU times."
Insert "CALL QUIETX" somewhere before your program's STOP statement and it works like a charm!
