I really enjoy the insights into computer architecture that I get in this
newsgroup, but it's pretty common for threads to degenerate into "I know you
are, but what am I?" at which point I stop reading. If, then, someone
injects interesting technical content without changing the subject line, I
miss out. (Frustratingly, the same people post in both categories, so I can't
catch it that way.)
So, please help me out by /starting a new thread/ if you're going to say
something interesting, instead of reviving a decayed thread! :-)
Sorry.
But the problem is when something gradually evolve into a different topic. There
is no clear point at which you know that a new subject is appropriate. It all
hangs together, it just is such a big scope. :-)
