I have a Legend 790 Supreme with a 486SX33 I would like to upgrade to a
DX100 or pentium 83. Has anyone else done this or have any alternitives
suggestions. I've heard you need a new bios to do the pentium, is this
correct?? Thanks in advance

Paul

The first thing to do is to see if there is an upgrade to your
computers FLASHROM BIOS, if so equiped. You can send packard bell your
computer ID number and they can tell you. I upgraded my Legent 144CDT
to a P-166 from a P-100 and I did have to upgrade the FLASHROM BIOS to
do it. I also am beta testing the MMX processor from Intel in my PB
machine. You should be able to do the P83 upgrade, you can also check
Intel's web site http:www.intel.com and look in the overdrive
processor upgrade section, that is where I found out I could upgrade
my system CPU from...

Thanks for the P83 info. My machine is not equipped with a flash bios so I
guess I will have to buy a new ROM.

Thanks, paul
