Looking for information on this computer, manual, vitals etc. Trying to just
do a little upgrades for the children to have a decent computer to play
around on. All I know at this time is that it is a 486DX2 upgradeable memory
to 64mb. 66mhz. One other question to add, if I would like to change out the
motherboard what would be the best options and what would be compatible to
power source already in this computer

Thanks,
TMK

Hello TMK,

Giving the group the BIOS string when the computer starts up would be very
Helpful. It would make it eaiser to figure out what MOBO you have, and from
there it can be determined what wou can upgrade to.

If it is a 3x3 case -3 slots for cards in back or 4x4 4 card slots in back of
computer
Probably a 450MB
When it boots it will say the MB such as pbmb450 on boot
In any case chances are that a 685 MB -see them on ebay all the time for about
25 dollars
You can use the ram from yours-chances are they are fpm -simms
Must be installed in pairs on 685 MB
You will have to buy a processor the 685 will go 233MMX for about 30dollars
if you bid properly
You can use the HD and other HW until you obtain a larger HD -good idea
If this unit is a legend chances are it is a 450MB
Bye
