You're telling ME to grow up, Nostromo? Read my article again and tell
me it deserves your hyper-defensive, personal attack. (Personal
attacks are easy when you're not face-to-face, aren't they? But it
really exposed your hypocrisy - right after your demand that I "grow
up" - so I'll take it standing up.)
You want to debate me on YOUR newsgroup? Based on your post, it
appears that you have no understanding of the historical context of a
true debate - which is the reasoned exchange of opinion. Why so
hostile? Do you work for Gateway, BTW? And what about these "hit and
run sneak attacks" you accuse me of? I don't recall EVER posting
anything negative about Gateway in any group beyond the article to
which you responded. And I'll post any damned thing that I want to
post in my newsgroup, if you don't mind.
If you happen to be satisfied with your Gateway, then congratulations!
I know some others who are too. But I personally have many
acquaintences who will NOT buy Gateway again. And I have the right to
warn others about it. There's a reason you're getting Gateways for
less than Microns or most other companies! Look under the hood.
And as for your boast about Gateway sales records, Packard-Bell sells
REALLY well too. And you don't have to be an "expert" to know that
they've been making slow, unreliable crap for years!
And please don't worry yourself thinking I might be jealous. I really
don't know too much about Micron technical support, only that PC
Magazine rates Micron higher than Gateway in support and reliability.
You see, I've never had any problems with my Micron (and neither have
my friends). I'll let you know when any of us do.
Your childish rants notwithstanding, I stick by my post! Why don't you
take an aspirin, step back from your PC, and get some fresh air. You
sound like you need a life outside of your computer room.
Good luck!
P.S. You can flame me again, if you really want. It's kinda funny. But
I won't entertain you with any further responses. I've got other
things to do - and I'm pretty confidant there's not much I could learn
from you (which is the only reason I would write.)
