I have the PII 233 with 160megs of RAM and I do not see a very big
difference between it and my PII 450 desktop at work. I am sure that the
newer mobile PII's are even better. The 13.3" display is great, and having
the CD and floppy both in the chassis is nice as well.

i have a 2500 XL. PII 266MHZ with 128 SDRAM. It's running pretty well. I
had quite a tough choices between Dell and Gateway. Thing is Gateway has
an option for point track as the mouse rather than the touch pad.
Somehow, I just hate the touch pad. Also, I love the sleek soft keys of
Gateway. Dell's keys are too deep and unsightly.
But one thing about gateway, they are indeed a little pricer.

The only fallback it has..it only comes with 2MB of video...so no games in the
laptop.Other than that, no problem...
