Does anyone have any feedback on the differences between these two 19"
monitors?
Primarily for office applications and occasional gaming.
Thanks!

Good question. I don't see much difference between it and the Trinitron.

Trinitron series has a truly flat screen with much less light reflection
and distortion. Better colors and somewhat better graphics. For some
reason, a lot of these have been slightly defective out of the box. Read
through others' posts. They also have two aperture grill wires that are
visible on white or light screens--you can get used to them and overlook
them. The quality of the Trinitron vs. the shadow mask monitors makes
you overlook this shortcoming.

For general purpose use, the shadow mask monitors are OK, but since
buying an FD Trinitron, I'm now spoiled. I think they are worth the few
extra dollars.

I love my P991. I decided to get another trinitron after owning a gateway
17" monitor for the past 6 years. I wonder if the trinitron monitors last
longer? Many years ago I worked with a IBM computer with a pitiful
monitor...gave me a headache almost everyday. So I'm not at all reluctant
to spend a little more for a superior monitor...hth Jim
