I'm here, running a Dell XPS 8940 with 11 generation I7-2500
and 32 gigs of RAM with a Geforce RTX 3060Ti with 6 gigs of RAM.
Does have a small SSD drive as the boot drive (512G) and I want to
upgrade that to a 2 terrabyte drive after cloning the 512G drive, and
then I'd use the small SSD drive as storage.
Also has a regular Data drive..about 1 Terrabye which I haven't
used yet.

What you do is clone the 512GB drive (nVME?) onto a new 2TB drive, then expand the main partition of the 2TB drive. If the XPS 8940 cannot accommodate two SSDs at once, you can get an inexpensive USB adapter that handles the 2TB nVME... Ben
