Hi all,

Not possibly Dell related, but I was just wondering if anyone knows
how to _long erase_ a DVD disk so that I can use it in a DVD recorder
using Windows 7 native tools? I just swapped recorders and the new
recorder won't use the RW disks that I used in the old unit :(.

I know I can do this with Nero, but the built-in tools seem to do
everything that I want currently, but the erase function seems to just
delete the TOC, and the recorder still doesn't like this.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Perhaps its the media it's self and your new recorder doesn't like that
particular brand?

I definately think this is a full v quick erase issue. Just trying
the freeware Active@DVD eraser from www.ntfs.com.

Thanks.
Andrew.
