good Q,

the one thing I like about this model and its predecessor is that they have
twin digital (D) ports.

the only thing I don't like is that they have additional bits like USB ports
and a smart card reader which are things I would not use.

I decided I wanted the U2410 a few weeks ago after reading the specs and the
good customer reviews.
Last Thursday it was offered on SMB for $100 off so I ordered and it arrived
Tuesday.
It is bright and beautiful. It seems to need a few minutes of warm up to
reach full brightness from a cold start, but that's not a problem.
It is an upgrade from a 5 year old 20 inch 3:4 Ultrasharp that's still
working fine. It is attached via DVI cable to my Dim 5150 (XP Pro)with OEM
256mb ATI video card. After start up I just had to change the resolution
from 1600x1200 to the native 1920x1200. I don't even remember seeing a "new
hardware detected" notice...
It has a built in test feature to check the display in five colors, so I did
and could not find a single dead or bright pixel. It comes with five cables:
power, usb, vga, dvi, and display port. I like that the power cord is a
straight AC cord with no inline power blocks. The capacitive buttons are
easy to use...
I attached my HD camera via the HMDI port and the full 1080 video looks
excellent.
So far I am using it just as it came out of the box without any adjustment
to brightness, etc.
I never compared the U2410 vs other displays for half the the price, but so
far no complaints.
Hope it keeps me happy for another five years - Joe
