Does anyone know whether the VRM required in the A550 Workstation (P3-1Ghz)
model is a standard Compaq P3 VRM like installed in the P3 servers?

I have a couple of A550s with P3-1Ghz CPUs and I want to double them up but
it all depends on the price/availability of the VRM. Naturally I don't want
to pay the "Compaq 3x everywhere else" price.

Actually, I was pretty certain that the VRM on the AP550 was built onto the
motherboard. I know you needed it for the SP750, and newer workstations....

The VRM for the AP550 is a separate device not built in ( I have a case
cracked open infront of me)

Nevermind, looked at a board today at it had a slot for a VRM for Processor
#2.
