Hi!

I just got a Compaq Deskpro XL 6150.
I think that it is perfect to run FreeBSD.
There is one problem however, I do not know
all of the specs for it, and I don't have any drivers.
I would really appreciate if some one would
send me a complete list of hardware and where
to find drivers. If some of you have drivers
and are willing to send them. Please do so.

The only thing that you need to worry about for support for BSD on this
system is the Embedded SCSI chipset. Check the system board, and you will be
able to get the mfg and model number off the chip. I am not sure, but I
think there might be a combo SCSI-Ethernet chipset for that box, with is an
AMD PC-Net family. Check your distribution to see if it supports that
chipset.

Video and ethernet (if not onboard) will have supported Free-x86 and
included ethernet support modules. The setup should be able to detect the
video and ethernet chips and load the required modules.

Compaq does not provide specific drivers for linux implimentations, with the
exception of the array controller drivers.

good luck,
