Hi

I have been setting up a backup system for my 渙1, and one file is screwing
things up. It is /PassConf.data/ and is about 19MB in size. Does anyone know
what it is?

Diavolo's packer runs out of memory trying to compress it, even with 182MB ffree
space.

Can the file be rebuilt by validatethor. If so I can just exclude it from the
backup. If it can't, I'll just have to think of something else...

When you mentioned .jpg, I slapped my head and used zap to look at the file. It
is a list of news groups.

Why Diavolo can't compress it is still a mystery, but I can just have Diavolo
just skip it. If I have to rebuild a wrecked disk, I can just get a new list of
news groups.

Hi Ash

I just displayed the file, and it seems to be the conference list (list of
newsgroups).

I suggest selecting the /Event Commands -> Get Conflist/ to refresh the list.
