I have a couple of Eagle systems (100 + 300) which I obtained from medical offices in Maryland. The problem is that their original VAR reseller did not give them the whole operating system .... (ver 2.3a).

If anyone can provide me with a complete ver of AMOS I would be happy to cover all of their costs involved. My systems have the tandberg (3820 or 4200) tape drives. I believe that I could also hook up a cd-rom drive and take the AMOS software that way.

I also have an AM-1000 which I am currently repairing...... memory parity error and it looks like it is the parity generator chips at fault.

Thanks

True, and I have all the required equipment to do it, but it will only happen if I can get my am-1000 repaired. Then I will hook the am-1000 up to the eagle machines and transfer the software. Hope I get the chance.

There's an AM-100 emulator at https://www.kicksfortso.com/Am100/ that has AMOS 4.6 and 5.0 images available for hobbyist use. I haven't used it yet but if 4.6 has Kermit it may have 4.3 compatible program files that you are missing and can transfer. The web site was last updated in 2016. There's also a yahoo forum for the emulator (link on the above emulatorhome page) that may have members that could help, but it had very few members. I thought I was one but haven't been on in years and maybe I had a different email address, so I (re)joined.

Thanks for the info. I have kermit for both dos and amos. I have had a long and difficult time in finding sources for the AMOS software I needed. I have now obtained the August 2002 AlphaCD with the full AMOS software. My computers did not come with a cdrom. I am awaiting delivery of 2 Toshiba XM-5401B(ver 005 ROM ver MA51226). Then I will be able to update my AMOS. My next step, one I know nothing about at all, is to connect my Eagle 300 to the internet. It is my intention to provide another on-line source for anyone in the Alpha Micro community. It is nice to know that there are Alpha Micro people still around who will take the time and effort to help others. Again, Thanks. Gary
