Hi there...

I am looking for a compass that is graduated to 1 degree... It must be
something similar to a map compass, as it's intended use is for underwater
cave survey... We won't be able to achieve our present level of accuracy in
dry cave survey if it is graduated in a different manner...

Any suggestions on brands/models??? I went through Silva's and Suunto's
site... In the first one, I couldn't find anything more precise than 2
degrees... the other one is pathetic... I tried also Brunton, but with no
success...

greetings from Brasil,

Try Forestry Suppliers or Ben Meadows Inc. on your search engine. The
Brunton and K&E compasses are really hand transits and a few models are
especially made for use in mines. Still, reading any compass to one
degree, in the dark, isn't going to be easy!
