Not much happens here by the looks of it. Although I have a feeling there
are a few lurkers.

Isn't there somewhere out there that gives the status of newsgroups?

You could always brighten the place up by giving us an indication of how
high your temperature is there and how much fishing you've been doing
lately.

Now...Now.... Ian! You know we have cold weather here! Why just today it
only reached 75F on my back stoop. If this keeps up I'll have to install a
booster for my heat pump. And my fishing has come to a standstill. Age has
me afraid of the weather so the opportunities are narrowing ;>) Though I've
a new outboard that I will soon try and I'll keep you posted. It is rather
nice to sit in the boat with my cell phone taking survey orders for the
crew!

Incidentally- It'd great to see there are a few surveyors out there,
although the posting in here has been terrible !
(have you seen how active the Architects NG is ?)-
I am sure surveyors should be able to contribute just as well - after all
we all know who really gets the work done don't we ? ;o)

Why hell yeah Surveyors get the work done & make the engineers look good.
I've been doing it for about 16 yrs. in central Fla. & I wouldn't tarde it
for a thing. Long days,calc's all night,hot days,snakes,gators,and the oh so
wonderful game of "Dodge Car" over-worked under paid and no recognition.
"WE" fix everything that the "P.O.B's" (pussy office boy's) don't have a
clue about. But other than that I love my job!!!!

us nothing gets done! All that we are; are under-paid over-worked "field
engineers & designers". If we had the time to go to school and get degree's
we would be the "HNIC's" cause the idiots behind the desk's don't have a
clue to what really goes on in the outside world. If it work's on the puter
and on paper then it should work in the field!! right?
WRONG!!! I would love to take these people and put them in the field
chopping line wading thru shit neck deep fighting snakes , people , dog's
,ect,ect for one day to show them what the hell goes on in the real world of
survey topo,design,layout & as-built's.
