Hello,
Has anyone out there ever heard of the gis software called 'fieldlink'. This
software should be able to produce Arcview Shape Format and is used to add
gis-data in the field by using a pencomputer. Has anyone ever used this
software? or has anyone ever edited gis-data in the field using other
software? Please let me know about your experiences in this field.

Hi Stefan,
This software is made by Leica Geosystems, you can go to the website
www.leica-geosystems.com and download a 90 days trial version. And yes you
can produce esri shape files with it.
