Nik Maack's crusty underwear. Oh, sorry Bob, I forgot that's in Canada.
[ but seriously, to my knowledge most of the Surrealist "landmarks"
have been torn down. But I don't know everything. I would like to know
what still stands up. ]

not so much.
you can have a meal at "le boeuf sur le toit" but the food is not so
good, it is expensive, and the celebrity (the picabia picture "l'oeil
cacodylate") wich is the glory of the place is not a so good picture.
(and maybe it is a copy, who knows...)
If you are still in paris the 8th of october, you can be at gallery
Boldyreff, rue saint honoré, near louvre and pompidou, where began the
exhibition ofm y beloved Oxana, actual and new
surrealist/'pataphysician.

what about...
the river of pork
the gigantic weeping wound of charles de gaulle
the irretrevable tower
the gut immersion clinic
the glowing restaurant of chins
the hammer-into-sludge museum
:) sorry, bad joke.
There’s a couple of books to recommend. “Paris and the Surrealists”
(Melly & Woods, 1991) is written around “a pilgrimage to various ‘chosen
places’ revered by the Surrealists, in particular the Parc des
Buttes-Chaumont, that astonishing pleasure ground, hallowed by
nineteenth-century suicides...” -- you might find at your library. It’s
not a travel guide, as the surrealist tour can not be reduced to
specific locations; but it has many photographs of the sort of images by
which the city leaves its vibrant stamp. Another book that acclimatizes
the reader to the Surrealists’ Paris is Breton’s “Nadja.” Also, Aragon’s
“Paris Peasant.”

Didn't the Surrealists meet for a time at the Cafe "Les Deux Magots"?
Maybe that would be a good place to sit sipping a cafe creme and soaking
up the environment... though I hear the food and service is better at the
"Cafe De Flore" next door
