synopsis: this project will attempt to stop all discussion of
surrealism. it is hypothesized that this will provide an insight into
a hitherto unsuspected world without surrealism discussions. it may
even shock some people into the pursuit of worthwhile activities such
as football, discussion of discussions, building gigantic dogs or
surrealism.

method: place surrealism filters on all channels used for discussion
of surrealism, e.g. channel: usenet, filter: words(surrealism, ernst,
automatism, breton, alt.surrealism, dada, postcards, thinking, horace
confab, rubbing, taoism, tedium, cadmium flute, projects, ottawa,
consciousness, freud, dali, mind-numbing boredom, the human condition,
god, godless, pork-a-cola, unsavory event), action: delete.

risks: innocent, though useless, non-surrealism discussions may be
inadvertently deleted.

notes: this will be a prelude to the ultimate surrealistic project of
erasing the concept of surrealism from reality. clearly by
contravening the core surrealism axiom of non-censorship this project
will demonstrate its ultimate fulfillment of the surrealistic
principles and render surrealism unnecessary (while conveniently
erasing it).

yes, what alt.surrealism needs is even less discussion of surrealism and
more discussion of the missing noses of john kennedys (sr. and jr.), aliens
in the PTA, and the secret meaning of life understood only by those with an
IQ of 42.

maybe then it can be ignored completely.

It has been decided by the provisional government that the ideology
advocated by Mr. Flute (to be known as "non surrealism") is now an
officially recognized schism to be placed in the hierarchy of real
surrealism(tm) next to Christian surrealiam, neu surrealism and zen
surrealism.

It is also decided that all conversations are discussions of surrealism
unless they mention surrealism (the surrealism which can be spoken is
not the true surrealism) thus meeting the demands of Mr. Flute without
changing a thing.

were the john kennedys missing their noes? fascinating!

maybe we could develop a project to remove all kennedy noses.

yeah, thats the dream i guess. until then though weve got to all work
together to ensure that nothing interesting happens.

looks like a simple logic inversion... and now were doomed to discuss
surrealism and only surrealism forever!

oh well, works either way for me.

I was afraid of this.

In a state of despair and gratitude I meandered into a time frame of
conscipousness that included this newsgroup. It had a whopping total oftwo or
three hundred posts. That was it.

I posted a few sublime truths and highly questionable reflections on the
subtleties of animal magnetism that should have been framed in the light of the
universality of our golden rule disproving them as the weary fodder of the
disquieted echo, the memind, and left.

And now the posts are over 2,000 in this universe.

Project to stop all discussion of surrealism indeed! A more blatant use of
sublime surreal detraction I haven't encountered since the deliberate
concealment of the so-called ancient mystery rites! Suppress away! Bravo!

Filters, more filters! Your message must be held back, it is rife with
anapostrophes!

i think non-surrealism should be at the top of the hierarchy, possibly
alongside anti-surrealism, but sitting over christian, neu, zen, tao
and funky. traditional surrealism would be at the very bottom of the
diamond shaped hierarchy. if you could put this hierarchy together and
frame it up for fanciful bypassers that would be useful and, to a
lesser extent, useless.

Putting it at the top of the hierarchy is legitimate. The provisional
government believes all schisms should proclaim themselves superior.

As for your model might it better be stated in terms of the Taoist
dialectic. Traditional surrealism being the one which begins the 10,000
things which interact into nonsurrealism?
