Clavicle breaks usually set in under 11 days. You know the instant
you sit up from bed. Give it 2+ weeks of rest, it's easily 80% strong
(the bone), and your muscles have atrophied 40odd %, so you choose a
mellow break, not Wiamea or big OBSF....or big Pipe, eh?
Takes another month or so to get full paddle and popup speed, so it's
healing while you're pumping fresh blood to the injured bones.
You think racing 125 Novice Motocross District 36 is easy on the
shoulders?
Vet Novice is easy, as 30 year olds don't want to tangle and crash.
You just blow past going into the turns.
Gotten two X braces, never had them on by the time I got to my car.
Any doc will tell you really...."ain't noddin they can do" with or
without brace.
Now surgery, that's another story. If you get surgery on a
complicated clav break, LISTEN TO YOUR DOC.
