I got a nice contribution of South Beach breaking. Seeing that place break
is always a pleasurable sight.

Question - they wave that is centered on the home page (guy doing floater), the
outside break to the back left of the picture appears to be macking. Where is
this exactly and did no one give the outside a try?

Chris

Incidentally- I just ordered a large size of the Reef Rd./Cloudbreak picture
for my office - it was taken on Christmas day 1989. It was not the largest
wave ridden that day by any means but still beautiful.

That picture was taken at The Hobe Sound Wildlife Refuge. That pic was
shot pretty much of the outside, compaired as to the way the place usually
breaks. That day though there was a FURTHER outside going off, and that was
WAY FAR OUT. I remember checking many places before ehitting Hobe...South
it was waist high, north of Hobe maybe head, however Hobe was pushing 1-2
over head, and NO CROWDS, ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS VERY TOUGH TO GET OUT! The
swell was not very spaced out at all.. It was a fun day for sure, I had some
super killer rides!!!

Cool, I've been there myself. Sometimes that place gets very good. I've never
surfed outside but I'm not sure if those shoals are setup right for surfing. It
sure looks like they are in the picture though. Glad you had a good time!!

Straight from the photographer who took it that day - Tony Arruza. Keep in mind
that this is not a print or poster but an enlarged photo so it won't be $15. I
also got an incredible shot from Pipe that was taken this winter.
