Opening Reception
Friday, October 6
5:30 to 8:00 pm
The works of local award winning artist Michael Nemnich will grace the
walls of the Fifth Avenue Art Gallery, located at 1470 Highland Avenue,
Melbourne throughout the month of October.
"My work is the result of the world around me and its influence on my
perception of it. I consider my work emotional prints of my dreams and
life experiences." Say's Michael when describing his unique mixed media
pieces.
His extensive background in the graphical arts, illustration, and
design has given Michael a keen sense of composition, color, and
texture and a unique perspective in his work. His pieces are lush with
glowing contrasts, and surreal, stylized narratives that invite the
viewer to offer up their own interpretation of the symbols and imagery.
In some cases, Michael's pieces read as playful illustrations infused
with whimsy, while other pieces invite one to explore the deeper levels
of expressive strokes and textures.
