NS today -- 4/7/12 (no GoPro)

Rising north swell, typical trades, sunny overcast skies. First went
out bodyboarding and tried my GoPro with the telescopic pole.

Awkward handling it but I think I may have gotten some neat stuff. I
said I think because on one little wave, I "pulled in" and the SNAP!
Got that feeling like when you are fishing and get a big one on the
line, and then the line snaps. I bailed my board and tried diving
around the area, but it was churning a bit too much so I gave up and
just rode.

After a while I didn't think I was doing so well so I went in. Talked
story for a long time with friend Jacob, a great video guy.

Jumped back in to shoot and had a pretty good time shooting the boys
at rising Insanities. A big set came through and finally scared me
off, and eventually went in.

So $300 down the drain? Bummer.

Pretty much. So sick. Waiting for someone to find it though. In the
meantime, I'll start saving for the new Hero 2.

There is a guy who does the beachcoming/scavenger thang regularly at
PB point here who has found 8 GoPros washed into the cove in the last
few years. You are not alone, Neal.
