In the Nov issue of SnoBoard there is an interview
with Maria Hamilton, snowboarder, bodyboarder,
surfer, and wife of Laird Hamilton.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
>From the interview:

SnoBoard: I just heard about your epic wipe-out at
Jaws, a surf spot off Maui. What happened?

Maria: Well, I was surfing, not bodyboarding, and trying
Laird's new rope tow with the jet-ski. Since I never really
had a chance to practice surfing with it, I wasn't ready.
I started feeling a little too comfortable and I faded into the peak.
The wave was three times as big as I expected it to be. I
hit a flat spot and it fell on top of me. I got worked.
I was pregnant at the time and lost the baby.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

So guys, is that heavy, gutsy, or just plain stupid?

Danny
