Hi All,

I have an idea for vortext reucer mainly on sail boards but also on surf boards.

If you look at modern Boeings Airbuses and executive jets they have winglets turned up the end of the wings. This is to reduce drag and fuel consumption. Eagles and birds also do this so they can soar for longer.

I think this could be applied to modern windsurfing speed and slalom board fins and sails. See my post on rec.windsurfing.
On surfboard fins drill a line of holes with a fine drill bit about a couple of centremeters from the tip aand slip a thin plate of elliptical steel (or a small coin) through the holes and resin or industrial glue the plate into plate. This might reduce the vortex around the fin tips.

I could do with some money for these ideas I suffer from mental illness. I could do with about £10,000 $15,000 at the moment. You could pay me via paypal.

I'm British by the way.

See my post on rec.windsurfing for more.

All the best.

regards,
