HI all - I don't see much traffic on this group but thought I would post
this in hopes somebody can help me out. I have been reading about all the
new technologies for making new boards P/U, P/E, EPS, XTR... I am
considering getting a longboard (10') and want it to be lighter than the
ones I had back in the sixties but certainly need it to be tough as I have
not surfed in many years. Back in the old days I has a G&S noserider with
the underside nose concave and I really liked that board.
What board makers , materials, etc would you recommend for me? I am 6'2" 250
pounds and approaching 60 years old. So I need a stable platform, good
floatability and nothing fancy.

Hey Red Dog

Don't know if you have 'em in the states (I guess by you talkin' Clark)
but the BIC 9'4 Nat Young is stroooong!!! Has nose rider concave with
thruster setup. They do a 10' but not sure of the nose bottom profile. I
have a BIC Nat Young in my bunch for those points with lots of rock
cause they are so hard to destroy (laughs).
Lighter than an old log for sure and bouyancy is good.
Check out:

They go into the construction pretty good.
I'm loving this years model with the cigar band!

Cheers
