In just 28 days got my second test back....all clear.
Did go back to the Doc and he said I had sperm "gromulas" spelling? The end
of the vas from the nut has swells up where it was sealed off.
He was running late and forgot to ask how long the pain would last.
Now...nuts still sore...hurts to dry off from the shower, wearing a jock
again....love to wear boxers.....no way I can......now I can feel pain in
my upper groin where the vas go and in to my upper gut/ribs just like
getting hit hard in the nuts...gut pain...I am going back to the doc this
week.
I hope this gets better or I am getting a reversal at any cost...........
Any "old timers" here does the pain go away.

I had mine done Jan 19. Just after the all clear about 5 weeks later I
started to have occasional pain - not as severe as you describe but
similar in that it was in the balls and vas. It gradually got more
frequent & noticeable until last week it was there all the time (but
still less severe than yours).
trifold thought it might be related to sensitivity from scar tissue,
and said it was common & fades over time.
Anyway timing, which is what you asked - over the last few days it's
faded away and now I think gone altogether. This is at about 10 weeks
after the snip.
Have you been back to the doctor yet? Be interested to hear what he
says about it.

I looked it up....and thought too that this guy is pulling our .......leg..
Reversal would be my first step.
I was going to call the doc on Monday.....wore my jock and sport briefs all
day...Monday fleet good pain was less......
When I got home had the feeling to free ball it....I did with just a pair of
baggy sweats...
I felt really good....the pain is much less. Today...Tue. wore just
sport briefs...had a good day.. some pain but better...rode my bike for 1
1/2 hours today..
At this point I don't think I will go to the doc.........unless the pain
gets worse again.
Thanks for all your words.......

Well, I am sorry for your loss. But this seems like a pretty radical
solution. What did the doctors think was the cause of the pain? Did
you/they consider either a reversal of the vasectomy, a deadening of
nerves, or removal of the epididymis?
It is castration--and NOT a good solution.
Jake, I suspect your pain is not that unusual, due to sperm granuloma,
and that it will fade over time. Or the doctor will prescribe anti-
inflammatories. Do go see him again. Even if the pain is chronic due
to sperm back up, there are much less severe remedies. This guy is just
pulling our chains.

Reversal itself is fairly radical, too, since it involves expensive,
complicated, and highly intrusive surgery with serious recovery time.
Anti-inflamatories are generally tried well before that.

Glad to hear it. It does take some time to get over it, but it's worth
it--as I am sure you are finding!
by the way i am not pulling any chains I am castrated if you like that word.I
have never felt better in my life .
The doctor who did the orchiectomy and left the choise up to me and did it in
his office for 400 dollars.

What caused the pain in the first place?

I don't like the word, but at least most everybody knows what it means
(unlike "bilateral orchiectomy!").

You mean you feel better now than you did when you had balls, even before
they began to hurt? If so, HOW do you feel better? Do you still get
horny?

Did you have local anaesthesia, or general?

So then the condition that led to your decision to have yourself
castrated may not have been vasectomy-related at all?
Quite. Anyone who wants to cut their nuts off needs their head examining.
What's this got to do with vasectomy?
Ross
Whoa, I should keep up with my reading more! I missed a bizarre thread!
I completely agree, you have to have some pretty good reasons to have
a castration!!!!!!!! cancer would be pretty much the only thing I'd do it
over.
..belial..
err..
I think if I was in your shoes I'd like to know why! Was it cancer related?
if so was
there any chance it spread to other parts of your body?
I'd be trying to get some kind of explanation. If only to explain what
caused the situation in the first place.
