Received the vasectomy about a year ago and everything has been fantastic.
However, over the last 2 months I have been experiencing a dull pain in one
of my testicles. The was the one the Dr had an "issue" with pulling the vas
out, but succeeded. Anyway, it's a dull pain like I got kicked just right
and at times, mainly at night when I relax, it radiates around to the area
right around that part of the groin. It doesn't hut, just a pain. Went for
my physical, Dr felt around, did some tests and pronounced all clear saying
this can happen even after a year. This is my regular Dr and he said not to
worry about it, but I am thinking that I should go over his head to my
urologist. I don't want to worry, but neither do I want to have something
he missed. Is this common?

I just had a vasectomy about 4 days ago. Only one of my testicles has
really hurt the entire time, my right one. It's wierd pre vasectomy I
noticed this testicle always retracted after I ejaculated. I think the
vas on it is probably shorter or something so I wasn't surprised that
this one hurt. It has been hurting less and less as time passes but I
wouldn't be surprised if it occasionally aches over the years. I can
live with it though.

My right side is also "higher." I think it's common (women's breasts
are also usually asymetric, and I've noticed it's the left that is
usually larger or lower) - not sure if it's usually or always the right
side on men that is higher (I can't remember if anyone has posted the
opposite). This is the side that has caused me more troubles as well -
not sure if it's related to the shorter vas.

Same here. My right one is higher, and it took longer during the vas.
And the right one gave me a mild ache for the first year after,
especially the day after particularly good sex (either multiple ejacs.
or lots of teasing). I think the vas might be shorter that side,
and/or the doctor had to tug on it more and ended up sealing it closer
to the testicle. I think the right side is higher on most guys. Check
out some of those classical statues, Michelangelo's "David," for
example. (Relative testicle height is where my resemblance to "David"
ends, I'm sorry to say!)

I meant to add that after a year this mild soreness disappeared. Now I
only get something similar if I go more than a day or two without ejac.
I don't think it's anything to worry about. But I would definitly see
the doc. again if it starts getting worse.
